Anti-Denominational Abuse Policy
As a Provider, 'ChristianBlog' (aka: ChristianBlog.Com) (herein: Provider) offers its Account Holders (hereinafter called Member) the ability to post a wide range of content with a limited amount of censorship on the Providers part. One important aspect of the Internet is that no one party owns or controls it. This fact accounts for much of the Internet's openness and value, but it also places a high premium on the judgment and responsibility of those who use the Internet to disseminate information to others. The Provider is responsible to ensure that all Members respect other members when posting any content within our website and as therefor put into place this policy. ChristianBlog.Com has in the past, mostly like does at this moment, and probably will in the future, deal with 'Anti-Denominational Abuse' issues.
What is 'Anti-Denominational Abuse'?
The Provider defines it as: "those of one religious sect being rude toward those of another religious sect".
These are the most predominate types of Anti-Denominational Abuse:
Anti-Catholicism - Anti-Catholicism is an institutional, ideological or emotional bias against the Roman Catholic Church and its followers.
Anti-Evangelicalism - Anti-Evangelicalism is hostility toward those who usually have a tendency in conservative Christianity.
Anti-Pentecostalism - Anti-Pentecostalism is hostility toward those within Evangelical Christianity that place special emphasis on the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as shown in the Biblical account of the Day of Pentecost.
Anti-Protestantism - Anti-Protestantism is an institutional or emotional bias against Protestantism.
Anti-Semitism - Anti-Semitism is hostility toward or prejudice against Jews as a religious, ethnic, or racial group.
Review our Registration/Faith Policy:
“ChristianBlog.Com is a website strictly reserved for those who know they are a Child of God.
We do not believe it is possible for us (or for anybody) to define what a "Christian" is or is not, other then to quote Romans 10:9, which says, "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved".
If you feel that is you and you are being honest with yourself then we stand on the Holy Word of God that you and God have worked out your Salvation and we feel you have the right to become a member of ChristianBlog.Com
A lot of people have questioned us about this... have asked why we do not list certain denominations or other "examples" or "lists", but the simple (yet complicated) fact of the matter is that I Samuel 16:7 (and Luke 16:15) seems to indicate (and people like to put it this way) that "no man knows the heart of another man".
The Lord knows our motives, our thoughts, and our intentions. Peter (Simon son of John), once said, as recorded in John 21:17 that "Lord, you know everything." With this in mind we just do not see where it would be right of us to list a group of religious sects that we feel are "Christian" and not allow anybody else to join. That's just not Biblical, eh!
So, what we do request that you consider the above and if you feel you are someone who meets what the Holy Text says is a Child of God, than we invite you to continue through and become a member of ChristianBlog.Com!
Please Note: ChristianBlog.Com does not exist to have an atmosphere of arguments, flame-wars, or even "heated discussions". ChristianBlog.Com attempts to be a family-based website -- and our youth and children have no need to be around those type of issues. We closely monitor and take action against members who do not promote an atmosphere of Christ-like living.”
To those who would desire to participate in ANY Anti-Denominational Abuse, we would simply have to ask, "How do you find your ability to adhere to the above, when you are condemning other believers of God?"
How We Plan To Deal With These Issues:
There is really no excuse for believers of any faith to be rude toward those of another faith - as nearly every religion believes in a "love one another" style of faith - so our actions toward this type of behavior mandates that we provide no excuse thereof.
Therefor, we are simply going to say, "if you are rude toward those of another sect, you will not remain a member of this community."
For anybody who is wondering how we define "rude".... pretty much it is defined by whatever our Support Team and our members feel is acceptable and not acceptable. It might change on a daily basis, and it might have different standards for different situations. Suffice to say, the community at large defines "rude" behavior. We have a very popular "REPORT THIS BLOG/COMMENT" system in place... use it if you feel something is wrong.
Theological Questioning Verses Theological Bashing
Of course, one has to asks, "where does the line exist between questioning the theology of one faith and that of another faith exist?"
As stated above, when either the ChristianBlog Support Team, or our community in large, feel something or someone has "gone beyond what is acceptable", our Support Team will put into action what needs to be done.
To Summarize:
Every community has it's "growing pains" and ChristianBlog.Com is no exception to this -- thankfully we have a great core group of people who make up our Community and we are sure that they are going to remain standing strong and firm in the ways that Jesus Christ desires for all of His Children!
That said, there is zero excuse for those who join our website and agree to our "Registration/Faith Policy" to be bashing, being rude toward, or condemning those of another religious sect!
It will not be tolerated, it will be closely watched, and it will be severely dealt with.
