I call my page God's Covered Bridge because God has covered me with His love even when I was not a Christian. His love will provide a bridge from this world to our Heavenly home with God.
I became a Christian in September of 1996. I was 22 years old but wish I would have accepted Christ many years earlier. My sister brought me to Christ and showed me what God did in her life. She told me the same could happen for me and Gods love saved my life. I am in a wheelchair because I have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Duchenne is a disease which weakens all of the muscle in your body, including your heart and lungs. In 2004 I had surgery to get a tracheotomy which is a tube that goes from your trachea to a ventilator and I breathe using the vent 24 hours a day. Sure it sounds bad but I am happy to have it. I prayed for months asking God if the trach is something I needed and He said yes, so I did what God told me to do. This disease was supposed to take my life by my 20th birthday but God had other plans for me. I was saved in 1996 by Christ and in 2004 with one of Gods plans to give me the breath of life. Our God sure is awesome!
