“My god turns my darkness into light. psalm 18:28b”
My Nickname is: kreynolds
I am feeling... joyful Right now I am... celebrating that i am cancer-free
I am a
married female and am 47 years old!
My Biography: I've been a Christian since I was seven years old. I met my husband when we were both freshmen in college. It was definitely not love at first sight. It was more of hate at first sight. Well, maybe not exactly hate but you get the idea. However, we had mutual friends and therefore couldn't (or wouldn't) avoid seeing each other. It's funny how our initial reaction changed within two months and we became best friends. We ended up getting married right before our senior year and managed to both graduate together and on time. Although these 26 years haven't always been easy, God has blessed us abundantly in that they have always been very happy.
My recent diagnosis of breast cancer has drawn us even closer together and I continue to daily thank God for my husband. I'm looking forward to many more years together.
I have one son who is currently attending college and majoring in theatre.
My Testimony: I became a Christian at the age of 7. There are people who question whether children are aware of what they're doing. I can't speak for all child converts. I can only speak for myself. Prior to my conversion, I vividly recall a growing sense that there was something more. I began asking my mom a lot of questions like how would I know if I was saved. Looking back now, I can see how the Holy Spirit was drawing me and opening up my understanding. Remember, God can make the simple wise!
One Sunday morning, there was a special prayer for Sunday School children whose parents were not Christians. There wasn't an altar call or anything, just a prayer. I suddenly felt a great desire to go to the altar and pray. However, I was somewhat shy and didn't want to do anything I wasn't supposed to do. After all, even though my Dad wasn't a Christian, my mom was. In fact, she brought most of the children they were praying for to church! They had not called my name. In my mind, I wasn't supposed to go forward. This time was for someone else.
Fortunately, I have a mom who is sensitive to the moving of the Holy Spirit and responds accordingly. She turned suddenly and looked at me. Something she normally did not do when people were praying unless I was acting up! She quietly asked me if I wanted to go up and pray. I remember saying, "I want to but I can't go up there." and explained why. My mom gently told me that I most certainly could if I wanted to. I put my hand in hers and together we walked up to the altar.
I became reconciled with God that morning. Nearly 40 years later, I remember sobbing because I sensed there was something between me and God. I can't explain it, I just knew there was and that He didn't want that barrier to be there. The next moment I was overwhelmed as I felt His incredible love pour over me and great joy flow up within me. I belonged to Him! I have never looked back.

“Hey K. Thank you for the comment about the bleach. You're totally right. I'll use gloves. But no you didn't sound like a mom. I wanted to hear that. I use bleach to clean the dirty counters which look nicer white than creamy gray. But thanks. I'll keep that in mind. God bless and have a good day ”
