I have wanted to have a "Revival" category here at ChristianBlog.Com for a long time now, but for one reason or another I never got around to creating it. Perhaps it was something as simple as laziness, or perhaps it was just not the right time for it to be here at CB, but either way, I have now created it and this is the first blog for this new category!
I have really been wondering how to start-off this category, and could think of no better way than to post something about the greatest revival in the USA that has happened in my own life-time - that in Brownsville Florida.
What I came up with to really high-light this was to post a video of a number of different clips by the revivalist at the heart of the Brownsville Revival, Steve Hill.
The following video has a whole bunch of short video clips of some of the best of the best services/sermons that Steve Hill preached while at Brownsville.
All I would ask is you open your heart to what he says... for as many a man of God has said, "Revival Starts within the Individual".
You can also find a book called "White Cane Religion" (based on the first sermon in this video) at amazon.com that might be worth reading.
If you would like to hear something really POWERFUL check out the audio at Fire On The Alter Compilations. Over the last few years I have downloaded all of these audio files and listen to them... some of them will really leave you on your knees before the Lord!
Thanks for the Fire on the Alter link. Will take some time in the coming weeks to listen to a few.
Thinking back, I believe the last revival I attended was a tent revival for a small church I attended as a teen.
Good week, I saw my grandmother's leg healed and watch her walk away from the tent that night.

They let nothing phase them or discourage them from doing what they were told. They went out and shared dispite the ahtred and rejection that came with...
