It all comes down to continued growth. After accepting Christ many will experience the mountaintop joy of a new life in Christ. Church is a priority and God's word is fresh and alive. Our hearts desire is to share the new love we have so that others can experience it as well.
But in time we become buried in "life". There are bills to pay, a less than perfect job, children to raise, and demands by church and community on our time. Church becomes routine, scripture is squeezed into a time slot and our prayers become self centered and lack praise or worship. We have come to a slow groaning crawl or stop. Frustration sets in, complacency takes over and discontent sets up house. Misery loves company so we begin to fall short in our marriage, family, church, and job. In an honest light we see ourselves far from God and any Purpose. Where does it go from here?
Get back to that "first love of Christ". Never quit on what first lead you to love Him so much. Get back to prayer, get back to scripture, and get back into worship. Ask God in quiet or cry out to Him and beg Him, "don't let me go, show me your love, speak wisdom to me from your word, and hear my prayers. Use me for your Purpose and keep me forever from that which leads me away from you" and never quit praying it.
Get Out Of The Boat!
In Christ,
