Lookin forward to great Christian fellowship....
Hey everyone! Just a little background on me... my name is Jess and I'm a 27 year old happily married mom of two small children with a third child on the way. My life pretty much revolves around my kids at the moment... my daughter is 4 and is in preschool, my son is going to be 3 in January, and I'm 23 weeks pregnant with another baby girl. My husband and I have been together for 8 years, though we've only been married for 3 years. Yes, we got married after our first was born... our daughter was 10 months old and in our wedding... I was also a few months pregnant with our son. I'm sure I'll get into all of that in more detail in a future blog... Anyway, I currently work outside the home in an extremely secular environment, but I'm praying that God provides my husband with a job soon and that I can get back to seeking at-home employment and taking care of my little ones full-time. I started going to church when I was in the first grade, and for the most part, was raised in a Christian home. I've been the prodigal many, many times and am extremely thankful and amazed at God's grace and open arms every single time I turn around... His love never fails. I used to sing with the praise team at my church and I was also extremely involved our woman's ministry program; I have taken a step back from those things over the past year because I felt as if my spiritual walk was not that of a woman who needed to be in a leadership role within the church. I'm sure that will be a topic of a future blog or discussion as well... I had a great support system of like-minded young women for a short time, but most of them have moved away, leaving our small group to just two of us. I'm looking forward to hopefully gaining and giving a little support here while I seek to rebuild a more personal support system within my church. I do enjoy to write and journal, which I suppose is a good thing since I've just started my very first blog! I look forward to writing more... may God bless you and yours today and always.
