First: Let the techs know that the gender in your profile is set to Male...if that is wrong they can correct it for you. (Manage Your Account on right column, then My Messages, then Tech Support)
Second: If you look in the right hand column under Manage Your Accounts, you will find at almost the bottom the New Chatroom for CB. Give it a try.
Third: Welcome to the site and as far as blogging goes, you are doing great. You now have the first one on the books!
