I have a song in my head right now. Well, part of one. I remember it comes from an old Christmas movie that for the life of me I can't remember right now (darn mom brain). Anyway, it says ...count your blessings instead of sheep, and you'll fall asleep counting your blessings. Good advice.

I have so many yucks I could count today. Everyday really. Don't we all? With all the rushing and busyness that fills our day it is so easy to get out of whack. However, my goal right now is to find joy in everyday - so one of the ways I do this is to count my blessings.

My day was filled with work - a privilege to have a good job. Busy breaks - I have a family to care for and do things for. Leftovers for a 5 minute lunch - delicious lasagna made by a good friend. Hectic supper - made by my fabulous mother-in-law and sent home hot. Yum! Not much time with kids - but enjoying every moment and silly thing they say. A busy night - a friend came over to give us our new dryer and convert from gas to electric. Yay! New dryer! (Thanks friends!) A late night trip to the grocery store- I have the means and live in a country in which all I must do is drive across town for all of my needs. Fussy baby - I got to hold him close and rock him and love him. Late to bed - I get to write my blog which I love to do!

What a blessed day I had. Jesus was certainly near me today. How about you?
