How do we look at pain and suffering in our lives?
I never really considered the fact that God counts all of my footsteps.

Hey, I'm a sensitive guy. Right!

"If you cut me will I not bleed?" (Merchant of Venice.) There is a word that applies to me and people like me. It's called, oblivious, a blind spot in our perception that fails to see, most of the time, how our actions or words or forgetfulness can affect others. Women know that husbands and boyfriends are especially prone to this character flaw. It is a form of insensitivity that I know can really tick a man's wife off. I don't know if there's a cure but the symtoms can sometimes be treated with a kick in the shins or some other sensitive place. I have learned that wether you know what you've done or not it's better to just confess that your a beast and a brute and not fit for company of any kind. It sometimes has a salutory effect on the Missus but not always. It is difficult to escape your own flaws.

There are times when I'm just coasting along, whistling a happy tune (Metaphorically speaking.) I've gone to the floor with the Lord and confessed all my sins, even if I'm not absolutely sure it's a sin, I pray for His mercy and forgiveness in the name of Jesus our Lord. (This is the serious part, confessing sin, and not to be taken as flippant or mocking in anyway.) Having confessed I'm feeling unburdened because I know He has forgiven me. Then a voice in the back of my head somewhere says, "Think your out of hot water, Bub. You know how dense you are, you don't know what kind of vile, heinous, oblivious act of insensitivity you might have committed and not even known it." Then the anxiety starts pouring in like black smoke from a grease fire. There goes the happy tune. The oblivious man is not a happy man. Unless, as Robinson Crusoe, he's marooned on a desert island and it's just him and his faithful Chihuahua. No man Friday please, the NAACP would not like it, I'm sensitive enough to understand that, anyway. Sure you would get lonely and you might miss those apple pies but if you did something oblivious and insensitve your dog doesn't care, the monkeys don't care, the crabs don't care and I'm certain the coconut trees don't care either.

A little fantasy can help us get through the day, football helps to. Just a little time when you forget what an insensitive brute, beast you really are. If it were our sin nature the Lord has provided a way to deal with that, the gospel of Jesus Christ and His blood shed for any that will be saved. The Lord will forgive virtually any sin even being insensitive and oblivious and dense. There are, however, rulers and powers in this world, know what I mean? Who can forgive, well, sometimes.

I look forward to heaven more everyday. (That also is serious.)

now are you talking about real football, or that girlie version of Rugby

But I don't think being insensitive is mainly in the ownership of the male species. I think I can put my hand up and claim that as well at times. And I never thought of it being sinful.. oopsss.

And i do like you avatar, though it kinda does remind me of an english football fan.

Good blog. Being insensitive to others can be beneficial sometimes. Someone may insult you, and being so oblivious, you don't realize it. when you finally figure it out, if ever, the guy isn't around anymore to kick in a sensitive place. - bibleguy64

Brother Asifbyfire, no one is spared from this flaw, you are not alone. We just have to learn to be more careful, pay more attention to others and their feelings and to tell othes what our hearts are like. It's a matter of communication sometimes, and it needs a lot of practice. As I have said, not everyone knows all to do and to be sensitive to others, except some seems to be better naturally than others in this area.

I also look forward to Heaven when we are at rest and where we are perfect again. Yet it's earth and the time that we have on earth that trains us for life over there. So walk and walk in joy, trust the Lord to affirm you in the way for you to walk and do not listen to all condemnations and negative thoughts which may not be from God.

Thanks for sharing

Blessings always
