Did you hear that?
Did you hear that?
Consider the recognition Jesus gave to the unseen.
Immediately after His baptism by John the Holy Spirit led Him into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil, whose dwelling place is in the unseen realm. He recognizes the storm at sea as demonically incited and rebukes it. At Peter’s urging to avoid the cross, Jesus addresses Satan directly, completely bypassing Peter. In healing the sick there are many instances of demonic activity affecting the people. The encounter with the demoniac is yet another dramatic example of the unseen affecting man.
Jesus walked this earth as a man, dependent on the Holy Spirit and His relationship with the Father. In John He says: I only do what I see the Father doing, What I hear I judge ...i He experienced what we experience and that is what enabled Him to be our compassionate High Priest.
Our walk is also to be in total dependence on the Holy Spirit, the Anointing that abides within and teaches you all things. ii
Explore the affect of the unseen further by listing the events in scripture that find their source in the unseen. Next, I challenge you to think of the events in your life. Allow the Holy Spirit to uncover any unseen forces affecting you.
Learn to recognize how the unseen is affecting you and those in your sphere of influence. Exercise your authority in Christ. You will make life easier for everyone.
Move from the unseen affecting you . . . into YOU AFFECTING THE UNSEEN!
