The question was, is and remains; why can't we all get along?
My voice is like thunder clapping. I have force man cannot handle hearing.

When God speaks . . .

God speaks in many ways . . .

The more common ways include dreams and visions, through others, through environment, and certainly through the intuition of our regenerated spirit.

Our spirit is vital to all issues of life in God. New birth is something that happens entirely within our spirit. Man’s soul does not relate directly to God. Man’s spirit relates to God. God is Spirit and all who worship Him, therefore, must worship in spirit. Your spirit alone has the capacity to commune with God.

The Bible references:
Serving with my spirit i
Knowing through the spirit ii Worshiping in spirit iii
Receiving revelation in the spirit iv

When our spirit is in its proper position, our perception of the people and things around us is dynamically different.

When God gives discernment – are you listening?

Discernment about the people and situations that surround you will come through your spirit. Do not allow your natural man, your soul, to override your discernment.

Be alert and attentive, especially at the beginning of a new situation or relationship.

What impression is your spirit receiving? It is vitally important to pay attention and not let go of it!

Perhaps you are certain that you would not do such a thing. Remember, however, that just past the initial moment of discernment, you enter into another zone. Natural, rational thinking will seek to supplant your discernment!

Discernment allows us to perceive beyond the natural.

Discernment can be positive or negative, or a combination. All discernment needs to be held in our heart.

It allows us to discern a person's present condition. For instance, if they are spiritually and emotionally healthy, struggling, or bound.

It can give you insight to help, as well as possible cautions you may need. You may detect spiritual, emotional, or mental problems.

Positive discernment about people or situations will help us if questions or misunderstandings arise. It does not mean everything is right or wrong, but the initial discernment is a qualifier to wait and not be hasty to judgment, especially if there is controversy around the person or issue.

Remember, beyond the initial moment of your meeting, your natural inclinations may want to override, so remaining spiritually sensitive is vital.

The enemy will work to supplant your discernment by using natural observations.

In situations where you discerned possible problems:
You see emotional distress, a tear streaming down the cheek and it evokes your sympathy ...
You hear spiritual insight that seems so profound ...
You hear convincing explanations that explain away contradictions and discrepancies in speech or behavior ...

On the other hand, the opposite can happen:

You hear negative things that run contrary to your initial positive discernment ...

In any or all of the above you are tempted to think --

“I must have been wrong ...”

CAREFUL, you are about to cancel your first discernment.

Do not do it!

Hold tight to that discernment while you walk through the situation.

Hold tight to that discernment while you walk with the person or persons involved.

Remember, God gives discernment for your protection as well as on behalf of others. God is positioning you to be available to help those who need help, while avoiding any traps or pitfalls.

His ways are not our ways. You must walk by and in the Spirit to accomplish His plans and purposes in the earth and on behalf of others.

SPIRIT TO SOUL ... When God speaks -

LISTEN UP!

Continue in the good teaching sister. I pray many eyes are opened. God's people have been under intellectual bondage and control for far too long. Knowledge is good. However, knowledge without Spiritual oversight and guidance is not only useless but can be harmful. We are quick to say we are a spiritual creation. However, few understand what it means and even fewer submit themselves to the Spirit.

Blessings,
Tch

Thank you Tch, your comment is so well stated. I wholeheartedly agree!

I believe there is also another classification of believers. Those who have never been presented with teaching on the spiritual, everything having been relegated to the intellectual. My hope and prayer is that teaching on the spiritual nature of our life in Christ will arouse a hunger for these most necessary truths.

Another problem I believe exists is the lack of mentoring available. It can appear daunting to step into the unseen. There are those who may desire to do so, but do not know how to even begin. May God raise up mentors!

I am ever grateful for the Holy Spirit and His ability to take a morsel and quicken a soul and bring them into further revelation. Nevertheless, the personal encouragement, direction etc. is invaluable, however, finding this can be difficult.

Continue your excellent work as well. Perhaps many such blogs by those capable of mentoring will help fill the void.

Blessings,
Barb

Sister Barb, indeed we need to develop the discernment in us that we may know the intention of people around us and that we will not fall into trouble or danger.

May the gift of discernment flows into God's people in greater measure. I have been seeking for this gift for a while.

Thanks for sharing

Blessings always

Thank you Hwa for your comment and recommendation. I have a sense that you have more discernment that you realize. Sometimes through the harshness of others around us we come to question ourselves and doubt. The enemy gains the upper hand through doing this.

Once the Lord breaks through our outer man, our capacity to discern others condition grows exponentially. Through all you have overcome, I am sure He has done this most precious work. Perhaps your confidence needs to be restored. I know the last year or two have taken a toll on my prophetic confidence. I am taking back what the enemy has attempted to steal. Be encouraged to rise up and do the same. We are sisters in the battle.

May God wash over your spirit and soul and bring sweet refreshing and restoration to all His gifts, especially discernment.

Blessings,
Barb

Very well explained blog dear sis Barb.Thank you for sharing.

Discernment does not come through intelligence, Bible-knowledge or experience. It is given by God to those who are sincere of heart. The thief on the cross teaches us how we can have discernment.

Thank you Tina for your comment and recommendation. That is a very good example of discernment that had not occurred to me.

We may tend to disregard the Lord's discernment, attributing it to His divine nature. We can forget that He walked this earth as a man, growing and learning just as we must.

I will put that in my pocket for the future

Love in return sis,
Barb

Thank you bibleguy for the VCR :) I had a thought this morning as I read your comment. Well, really it was a suggestion for a possible start for those unfamiliar with this. My suggestion would be for them to practice entering a conversation/room 'spirit first'. I believe I have a blog on this already, so I will add it soon.

Often we are thinking of what we are going to say, who we are going to see, how we will be perceived etc. To change this takes a conscious effort to think differently, to be aware of what your spirit is perceiving. It is what I call 'backing up in the spirit' to listen and perceive, instead of entering soul/mouth first. Easier for some more than others :), but able to be learned nontheless.

It involves being sensitive to others and not distracted by ourselves ... a common disease of the soulish man. For those, like yourself, who are encouragers and have a heart to help others it is easier.

For others who do not feel they have such a heart, perhaps the real problem is that they do not feel they have anything to give (inadequacy). Well, the good news is that none of us do out of ourselves, at least we have nothing eternal to give. Nevertheless, the Spirit of God has something to give through us as we alllow Him to flow through us.

Thoughts to ponder,
Barb
