Spending Time in Gods Word
Hey Everyone,
I know that it has been a while since I blogged here, my apologies for that, but I have been reading almost all of the blogs. And they really are help in my journey with the Lord.
I have a couples of friends that everyday we read a chapter from the Bible and then, because of our life (work), we email our thoughts on that chapter and discuss what that specific chapter revealed to us.
I must admit thought that lately I really haven't been putting in the time that I should be putting in with my reading. And that got me thinking, is that really acceptable enough for God. Did Jesus decide that he would put in the time when he wanted to. No! He loved us enough to die for us, so the least I can do is give Him as much time as I possibly can.
The way I see it is that I must work my life around God, and not work God around my life.
So, to get back to why I am posting this blog, today, while I was doing my Bible reading, I just felt that I needed and wanted more. The more I read, the more I wanted to read. I was like I was using a spiritual drug, it was really so addictive, I had to literally, have my Boss call me away from my PC. Don't worry, thankfully I have a really cool boss...
So in conclusion, I would just like to encourage anyone out there to read as much of the Word as possible, and spend as much time in with God as you can. Put God first, and work your day around that, and not the other way around.
