Dignity will not save anybody

Do we believe this? 1st John 5:20,21 "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. 21. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen."

A beautiful friendship? There are 'religions', most all of them, that recognize that Jesus existed. I mean the Jesus we read about in the four gospels, and the Jesus the rest of the New Testament witnesses to. Jesus Christ. It is the word 'Christ', 'Son of God', that separates the 'Christian' faith from the 'religions' in the world. Was HE the CHRIST? Is HE the SON OF GOD?

Absolute truth. We are told of all of the political and intellectual people within the secular world, that there are none, really. There are many truths. That as a worldly society as a whole we have to seek and change the present ones to find it, but it is still out there, future. It is this mindset that will usher in all that has already been prophesied, in the Holy Bible. Within its pages we find how the earth and the universe began, and we also find how it will end.

What is contained within the pages of the Holy Bible, will as long as time, as we now know it, be at odds with all other philosophies and religions, that do not and will not, accept the message and content we find in the Holy scripture, the Holy Bible. The coming of Christ was both promised and prophesied, in the Old Testament scriptures. The suffering servant was also prophesied and revealed. And Jesus Christ fulfilled both. He alone is 'Lord of lords, and King of kings'. And will return. He alone fulfilled and fulfills all prophecy of 'the Christ'.

Others will call Him an imposter, and thus crucified as one. Yet others a prophet, and a teacher of God, but not His Son. One of their pillars states that God has no Son. According to 'religion', there are other ways to God, besides Jesus Christ. This is what ultimately separates Christianity, from all the other religions.

Science, secular science, will reject the existence and the creation of God. All will say that we have to reject the claims and teachings of scripture, to really find utopia and true friendship. Really, their versions of truth, too. Both secular science and religion will reject any literal view of who Jesus Christ is, and the God revealed in scripture who created as He clearly tells us within its pages, that He did. Friends? Scripture says we can not be, not of the world. Compromise or change the truths contained within scripture? Then how would we know 'absolute truth'?

Now we get back to the question that was asked at the start of this blog, and the scripture that is quoted. Is this truth? Is this the True God? I 'believe' that He is. Another question. What if I, or you, do not 'believe', what is stated there? If this is the true God, and this witness the true God has given concerning His Son Jesus Christ, then is this not still 'absolute truth'? If one rejects, will that change that it is? Ponder this well folks, much in the eternal realms requires it.

I joined this site, because it is 'christianblog'. I made the checkmark that said that I believe and confess Jesus Christ, the one revealed within the Holy Bible. This is my truth. This is my life. There can be no changes made, in this 'belief', and I survive and have eternal life within Gods kingdom, and the kingdom of Christ. This is my 'absolute truth'. This Jesus said, in John 14:6, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me"

For all that I am and will be, this is my 'belief'. That He indeed, is, just as He said, and all of them. Nothing, at all, could be more 'absolute', that I need to know. I am thankful for a site that I can write this. I am thankful for the freedom for now, to share and witness these truths from scripture. In many multiplying places, we can not. Thanks.

Me too, Billy. With all my heart I believe that God loved "the world" so much that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ the Lamb of God, as the perfect sacrifice for our redemption. I do not care whether or not someone else thinks I am right or not. That will not change my mind!

Nor is my belief in Jesus Christ based upon how successful or healthy I am or how "good" I feel. If that were the case, I would have stopped following Christ long ago because there are times I face struggles, heartache, battle serious illness, suffer pain and loss, etc. I don't follow Jesus Christ because of what He does for me so much as I follow Him because of who He is!

Personally, the idea of there not being "absolutes" is ridiculous. How can someone even say that? Every day we are faced with absolutes. If I cut myself deep enough with a knife, I will bleed. If I stop consuming nourishment, quit eating, receive no supplements, go without any fluids whether by mouth or IV, I will eventually die. If I am mean-spirited and treat people in an evil manner, people will do their best to avoid me unless they believe they can get something out of me. One day, regardless of how much I take care of my body, it will die. When I got cancer, if I did not get it cut out of me, I would have died. If a fire is started it will consume everything flammable in it's path until is either put out or dies out. If a person jumps out of an airplane at 10,000 feet without a parachute they will die. All of these things are absolutes!

Creation itself screams to me that there are absolutes. The only one outside of "absolutes" is God and He himself has set certain absolutes, certain boundaries into place. There are times when He also declares that a natural "absolute" will not take place at a particular moment in time. We call these things miracles when God supersedes natural law. He can do that for He is God.

Science, secular science, will reject the existence and the creation of God. All will say that we have to reject the claims and teachings of scripture, to really find utopia and true friendship.
I know it does and I find this both funny and heartbreaking. When I was teaching, the vast majority of my co-workers were not Christians and yet it was later reported to me by a number of co-workers that I had created quite a stir when dealing with my health issues. I wasn't behaving in a "predictable" manner and non-Christians were asking either myself or other Christians on staff about it. What made me different in my reaction to what was happening? What was the source of my peace and joy? What was my secret?

To all of those questions, they got the same answer... Jesus Christ.

Blessings!
