No serious Bible search or discussion. That will make many very happy. I have never been the most popular, or the most liked, or, the most handsome. I see the negativity in the world, and most people do not want to recognize that stuff. We study a lot regarding history, but do we learn from it? It looks like as the saying goes history repeats itself. Nations and economies come and they go. What causes their downfalls we should learn from, but seldom do.
Those who are raised in church, for the most part, many will come to Christ at a young age. They will happily focus on family and God in those younger years. But most will want to experience all of the worldly things, as they get older. Some few don't, but most will. Some will seem to do well in it, and they have no desire to return to the old ways.
Others, will enjoy the prodigal life, and yet time and again they will end up worse off than the hogs, just as the prodigal was. Maybe for the right reasons, and maybe for the wrong ones, they will return. There seems to be deeper meanings to the story though, and I hope that is not blasphemous. Some will return, and yet again go out seeking that pleasure again. For some it will be a way-of-life. Not committed to either one. Back-and-forth. Double-minded. Like the raging waves of the sea.
Nations will experience prosperity, and jobs, and all that will accompany. And then they will experience the downfalls. The causes are all varied, and experts can not even agree as to the reasons, and what would turn things around. History shows that many will turn to the spiritual, in times such as these. The plagues and disasters will cause much the same. And yet just like the individuals, the nations themselves will go back-and-forth.
I believe many do this because of personal gain. It is a means to get some form of deliverance, as a temporary measure. But really these people have and had no intentions of truly changing, and didn't really want to. They just wanted that personal gain. They will make plenty of excuses for it. They will even blame God, and just declare to all that it is just their nature, and they can not escape their nature. Some will even declare that God loves them that way, and they are ok.
So people will list verses, and ignore others, to create a theology. It doesn't happen that way? Then somebody account for the thousands of them. The answer is here, in this theology. No, the answer is there, in that one. I know when this is gonna happen, because of this. Yet others will see clearly that scripture will not back their claim. We could get very scriptural, on this point, but the delusioned ignore all of them.
It always comes down to who, what, we truly love. That is the treasure we will seek, and sacrifice for. There is only ONE way, to be reconciled to God, though. This is very important. We are only reconciled to God, through JESUS CHRIST. The blood that Jesus Christ shed, is the only propitiation, for sin. Anyone who misses these truths, will not be saved, according to the testimony that God has given through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Those who are in Him, are "New Creations". Not half-creations. Half committed. Double-minded. Constantly going to-and-fro to that far country, to seek the pleasures there. If you believe they are, then show where the prodigal left home again. Twist and change that one. I have no doubt that many believe they can.
