Sharing from a newsletter and work

No study time and prayer sharing revelations today.

I fellowship with some folks from different churches many times, and one of them send me a newsletter every quarter, and so I will share some from it. I saw no copyright on it anywhere, and they probably got some of the material from another source anyhow.. .. so it should be ok. Shhhsshh, we sure got things in a mess, nowadays. Copyrights, politically correct, and non-offensive and all.

Anyhow: hope this makes you smile, and maybe agree with some of the thoughts.

"To ponder"

"There are two kinds of pedestrians- the quick and the dead" :)

'The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth'.

"Does pushing the elevator button more than once, make it arrive any sooner?"

"I've learned"

'That the best classroom is at the feet of a really mature and sanctified Christian, who knows Gods word and prays a lot'.

"That being kind is more important than being right'?

here is a jewel: "That love, not time, heals all wounds"

"That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.'

Billy, sometimes I feel some folk just want to be offended, and if they are not offended they go looking for offence.

But this was a funny blog. I especially liked the one on pushing the elevator ( we call it a "lift" ) button numerous times. That tactic doesn't work with pedestrian crossings either. Nor does thumping the computer mouse off the table help a programme load faster. ( tried that too )

I have learned a lot from you Sir, I hope to continue for a long time to come in the same vein.

Thank you Bethy. I am not real good at humor, but it is good to laugh sometimes.

And I have learned a lot from you too sis. I hope to see one of those famous blogs of yours. They always bless me. God Bless.

I enjoyed your blog and its attempt at humor. It was successful. I am not real good at humor either. I think some of it may be because I come across as being very serious and people do not know when I am attempting to express myself in a humorous way.

It helps to look on the lighter side now and again - thanks for the smiles.
Was just discussing with a Christian I meant on the road last week how we both heard the same sermon on the radio that scripture doesn't record Jesus laughing. True it's serious business reconciling mankind to God - I can't help that in a few things we read there is a smile and chuckle from him now and again with the disciples.

God be with you,
enjoyed

Hey Brother Hark. And Thanks. I agree with you, they did have conversations all those years, no doubt at all.

Personally, I just can not help but think, when they went fishing later, perhaps, one of them just had to say to Peter, 'hey, why not take a walk, remember'?

And for sure I doubt Jesus was telling them how sorry they were, all the time. God be with you too brother. And Bless.

  From the church bulletin:

'A little boy walked up to the pastor after church one morning. He pulled out the change he had in his pocket, and said 'Preacher, I want to give you some of this money.'

The preacher says, 'Well, son, that is awful nice of you to do that, but why don't you ask dad first?'

The little boy says, 'Oh, that's ok preacher, my dad will not mind at all, he is the one who told me that you are the poorest preacher we have ever had here.' ... ...
