When I see Him face-to-face

At this time of year, about all I see and do is hvac related. When I and others lost our industrial jobs to other countries, we qualified for job-training, because of some trade agreements through nafta. I chose hvac, and it proved to be a trade that has work available. The outlook is good, for years to come. It is very physically demanding, as much is just plain old hard labor, which is why the trade doesn't attract many for long. Dirt, sweat, and labor are definitely a part of what will come with the trade.

When those systems go down, the situation can become health related pretty quick. The buildings are a lot tighter today, which means not much outside air can infiltrate. Most will want them fixed asap. You can see a lot about a persons character when things get critical, in their opinions. People for the most part, who have deep faith in God, are a lot easier to deal with, when times get tough.

Yet others may have the pictures on the wall, Bibles on the bookshelves, but their attitudes contradict the setting. And then it gets into the payment of the services rendered. Most times this is something people have not planned, in the monthly budget, and it can take a while, at times. A lot of the companies will expect payment immediately. I understand why, but I also try and show some compassion and trust. In 15 years, I have witnessed very few, I could count them with my fingers, of work and items never paid for. I credit that to God.

The meaning of this, is to share a little of my own daily life. We all have to work, at something. Whatever that something is, our relationship with God, our faith and trust in Him, will determine how we do that something, and also how we relate to others, while we do them. I could give example after example, in my own personal life, both positive, and negative.

For most of us, these things will determine our own personal times of 'trials'. Daily life will have them. It really doesn't matter what profession we choose. What family we are given. Life itself, will have many trials. If, as followers of Jesus Christ, and believers in Him, we react and do just as those of the worldly mindset, then we should most definitely take a good, hard, realistic, look at who we really are. There is a huge difference in being ruled by faith in God, through Jesus Christ, and being ruled by the flesh, the world.

Christianity is much, much, more than just walking down an aisle, being baptized, and attending the local church building. Christianity is shown in how we live, everyday. By whatever situation we are in. In the society I live in, this is known as "where the rubber meets the road". You can go to the local tire store, and they all have their displays, as you shop for those tires. But the quality of those tires will only be revealed in how they actually perform, out on the road everyday, actually being used. Get it?

Thanks for letting me share with you. Jesus Christ, Savior, and Lord, redeems, from all sin, and all trials. May our lives actually reflect that faith. If they do, we will not be ashamed when we see Him, face-to-face. God Bless. Maranatha, He will.
