In An Overview Of ...

In an overview of the Bible, where the words 'In the beginning ...' naturally lead, one must discuss another order of created beings, namely angels. They had at least one long, or perhaps multiple, probationary periods back in the pre-darkness age of Earth (the second verse of the Bible is the boundary of that age on this end). Angels are seen in their environment before, during, and after the creation of the earth and its latter renovation. I'm writing of the classic 'Dispensation of Angels'.

Angels were a delegated authority by God to rule places throughout the universe including the Earth. Even the other planets in our solar system have the marks of judgment on them from angelic times - and so far, only God knows what is in store for their future. The Bible indicates that they were included in Adam's potential domain. Angels were present when the earth was created. So, from before earth's creation until it became formless and void, is broadly considered to be a dispensation of angels.

The age or 'dispensation of angels' including earth's creation ended with judgment because of a large scale rebellion led against God and faithful angels by Satan. Angels may continue to be under some specific task or quest regarding themselves, but such is not spelled out in scripture to my knowledge. In the near future Satan will launch another assault on heaven to try and prevent Jesus and company from returning to the earth to rule.

... all to the glory of God!!
