social, anti social, what is up? |

I've been on the 'net a long time. I remember when the graphic user interface that we now take for granted was a brand spanking new thing. I made a determination to find out and work this thing called the web. As time went on, I tried to figure out the intricacies of chat, newsgroups, bulletin boards and the like, and been mostly disappointed by the results. And, for the most part, I kept my distance from the web, I would use it to keep in touch with people I had already established face to face relationships. I tried to imagine relationships on the web like having pen pals (which I did try to keep up with for a while, but failed at miserably... moved too much.) Even made a good friend(!) once in a chat room from England!
Anyhow, fast forward ten years... social networking has blown up, lots of networks for folks that share common bonds pop up all over the net... being a sf- fam, It wasn't too hard to befriend other sf fans, it was just an extension of the fantasy that sf fans embrace-with technology making everything better (yeah--right!).
I found the Lord again, and felt a desire to reach out... get to know others... and somehow I found this blog... I wanted to at least try to connect with other Christians, and I have! I didn't mind the restrictions that make up the blog about not trying to contact anyone outside of the blog, it made me feel safe. As I've grown more comfortable with my blogging and chat and groups and prayer... i have gained a deeper understanding of friendship on the blog, ad i realize that through this blog, we all have the denominator of the love for Christ, and that makes it easier for me to realize that I do have friends here on this blog and if we never see each other on earth- we have a strong bond of friendship... and I think that's what the Father had in mind... thanks again.

What Folks Are Saying... |

“Christianblog has provided me with information, understanding, and fellowship to a degree I have never before experienced. I appreciate enormously the manner in which the site is supervised and feel very secure within it. A short time after joining christianblog.com I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and from the moment I shared that information on the site I was blanketed in prayer. These people are my friends,I trust them, and I have no doubt that God heard their prayers for me and then answered them in a mighty way. I feel truly blessed to be a member of this wonderful blogging community.” - kiwibird (New Zealand)

My personal bio... hmmm. well, who else will I write about? I'm not married. I don't have any kids. I don't have any thing against the little blessings, although I do argue with parents about discipline! All children need discipline.
Some adults could use some too! (I digress).
Overall, I'm...
