God loves true science and true science loves God

I have always love geography. In fact, when I was thinking about finally going to college back in 1994 I was going to major in geography. Well, things didn’t work out for me to take any classes on the subject, so just like meteorology; this subject remains simply a personal one of interest.

From as far back as I can remember I have looked at a globe or a map of the World and seen clearly how the continents obviously at one time were all joined together as one colossal mega-continent. Over the centuries many scientists have presented theories on continental drift” and how they imagine these huge land masses somehow managed to move thousands of miles and be separated by oceans so deep and wide they stagger the mind to think about.

Of course with the advent of Darwinism, the current batch of so-called scientists advocate that these continents drifted apart millions of years ago. They scoff at the notion there could be any way these continents split apart suddenly even though Sir Isaac Newton believed such a thing happened.

Archeologists have discovered fossil remains in many continents which indicate without question that at one time they were united as one. Since all forms of dating fossils are pure speculation (educated guesses) at best, there is as strong of an argument for this separation taking place 6,000 years ago as there is 300 million years ago.

Here is a drawing showing the Southern Hemisphere continents as they probably looked at one time. Notice where the fossil remains have been found.

True science cannot disagree with the Word of God for the true Word of God is scientifically accurate in the same way it is mathematically concise. There are no errors in the Word of God. There are no idle speculations which would contradict God Himself. God’s Word is a precisely calibrated and scientifically accurate document. Thus, whatever true science finds, it has to agree with the written Word of God.

Since we know that God created the heavens and the earth we also know that theories such as evolution are total rubbish. There was no Big Bang” that formed the heavens. There was not amoeba that in time turned into a monkey which turned into man. God created these things and that is the end of the story.

But, where did these fossils come from? When did the huge dinosaurs roam the earth? How could one huge mega-continent split into the 7 continents we have today? These are good and healthy questions which have good and simple Biblical answers.

Christian geologists have studied the earth and determined that there is a simple and scientifically accurate explanation for the splitting of the continents. They have determined that it all goes back to the flood during Noah’s time. They have proven, scientifically that it was not only possible, but probable that the forces involved in Genesis 6:11 when the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened” would have caused the plates of the earth’s crust to shift so dramatically the continents would have split apart and the oceans rise between them.

To me, this is so exciting and makes me love my God so much more. There is no need to hide from the truth if one knows what that truth is. I would exhort anyone with a curious and/or scientific mind to read the following article on this subject. It is really an eye-opener:

I remain so very thankful that the God we love and serve is not some humble jumble god who contradicts himself at every turn and thus cannot be trusted. To the contrary, our God is the Almighty Eloheim who is THE Creator of all that was and is and is to be. Glory to God in the Highest. Amen.

Many years ago I read a book about the impact the flood had upon the earth. It was written by a geologist. I wish I could remember the name. Anyway, it mentioned the very things you mentioned. I've read articles from Answers In Genesis as well.
There is no need to hide from the truth if one knows what that truth is.
This statement says so much!

Thanks for sharing that link, it is certainly an interesting read; as is your entry

I think that science is only a representation of man's cumulative knowledge. We don't have all the answers, our explanation of evolution is a theory with flaws, and our scientific explanation of creation is also speculative and flawed. God is omniscient.

I think we can only observe the mechanics of creation which I believe is actually a testimony to our indescribable and amazing God. If scientists think there are contradictions it is only because we don't yet understand enough. Even if we do understand everything there is to understand about something, it still doesn't take away the miracle that it was created; and that there is life...

Blessings to you too!

Well said Doulos. You said it in a much nicer way than I could have.

It enrages me that people deny God credit for all his hard work. "He snapped his fingers and here we are!". No, God is not a God of illusion. He spent billions of years carefully crafting all we see around us. We can take the scientific evidence around us as God's Word as much, if not more so, as the words in the Bible. Our understanding of both is incomplete. The information we have available to us through the Bible and other historical documents is limited. The information presented in creation is bested in its incredible mystery only by God himself.
