I feel it time after writing over 1500 blogs and having been here nearly five years to share some of my life with you instead of just trying to be some “know it all” Bible teacher (which I am NOT). My life is nothing special as far as the world is concerned, but in God’s sight there are reasons He has sustained me all these years and most of those reasons deal with sharing things from and about my life trying to walk with Him and serve Him.
Perhaps due to my advancing age or just because I am tired of fighting with people all the time, I no longer care to get into “shouting matches” via comments on blogs. I read every comment and occasionally I will respond to each one of them, but rarely will I respond to a specific comment lest it lead to an unending debate.
For the most part I am content to simply present what I believe the Lord lays on my heart and if it blesses someone, great. If it offends someone I am sorry. Either way, all I can do is write as I am prompted by the Holy Spirit to do.
A couple of days ago Hurricane Isaac roared into Louisiana and proceeded to stall bringing nearly 2 feet of rain to some places. At the same time Isaac was making a name for himself, far out in the Atlantic another storm formed whose name was Kirk. I had been nervous about what kind of storm would bear my name, so I am amused it ends up being a storm corresponding to my life.
This lonely storm is bothering no one as it drifts along midway between North America and Europe. Although it is small, it is a Category 2 Hurricane which means it is stronger than Isaac who announced his coming with great fanfare. I am proud of my little storm Kirk for it is following a path just like mine.
In the coming days, I will share with you why and how I came to be a little storm out in the Atlantic vs. a huge sprawling storm that directly or indirectly affected millions of people.
It is interesting that the next storm to be named is Leslie which was my father’s name and my middle name. From what I hear it may be a major storm for the East Coast of America. My dad would smile if that happened because for years he loved being in the limelight and relished any and all publicity he could get.
Although I am, and will always be, B2Y; I am also Kirk and since that is the Scottish name for “church”, I assume I should do something to connect my name with its meaning and that is to start my own church. JUST KIDDING. More to come as I feel inspired.

Maybe you are right -seems with age one mellows -or just gets wiser one.

(note the definite spiraling of the steam) but I need to take issue with something you said.
Oh, I have an idea
