Our Fruit |

Well how much time do you think we have? Someone ask the other day is it easy being a Christian? The answers is no. Evil sits on his throne here on earth and mocks those he considers his enemies. He twist their very desires into wicked bazaar outcomes that put their dreams into a chaos that cause them to wonder, Is there really a God? We that are considered children of God are in a rapidly decreasing minority, that is being overwhelmed by an over the top media that twist the truth into lies and lies into truth. Evil knows now that as long as he continues to repeat those lies then soon they become the truth. The good guys turn into bad guys and vice-versa. Wickedness does rule the roost and it no longer tries to hide it from those who can't believe what they are seeing.
I wonder out loud so you can hear, those of you with an ear, are those that are looking for our Lord, being intercepted by evil, do they really have an ear to hear or are they just meant to live the life of a blind man laying on the shores of the lake of fire. Can it be that we are so caught up in our own troubles that we are missing out on all those lost souls? Our Lord tells us He has not lost any of those that He is given, please tell me how many have you given to Him? I am not trying to be mean, and i am not trying to put guilt or blame on anyone, it is merely a question, do we continue our preaching to the choir or do we step up to the plate and then pass to those who are hungry for our Lord?
You know i am as disgusted as any christian by the take over of the sinful. My problem is that now the sinful are treated like hero's. We have lost our hold on righteousness, because now evil has twisted what is right and what is wrong. Confusion is the order of the day and the day has no order. Chaos controls the faithful while the wicked run free and in charge.
My gut feeling is telling me we are running short of time.
Revelations 2:
1"To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lamp stands:
2I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false.
3You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. 4Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love.
5Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lamp stand from its place.
You see our Lord does understand. He does know just how much we despise the evil, but where has our passion gone? We worry so much about helping the right person, we want to make sure that we are not being tricked by evil, tell me what difference does it make if we help a lost soul who doesn't deserve or appreciate it. We have no way of knowing how deep is the seed we plant. Have we lost our passion? Its OK to pray for those who may be misleading you, as long as there is a chance they need your prayers. Can we stop judging by what we see and open the eyes of others who are unaware of who our Lord really is. Are we giving the lost souls a chance to understand the difference between the truth and a lie? Have we really forsaken our first love? I say we should search for our lamp so we can reread the scriptures that lets us know what our first love is. Our Lord is our first love. Have we forsaken His sheep or worse yet have we forsaken Him? We are His church, we are the ones that are suppose to be working the fields. Do we still know where His field is? I ask you to step outside your self made bubble and seek out our brothers whom our Lord yearns to bring home. Lets stop being the angry brother who stayed at home. Lets welcome back the ones that went out on His own. I too had left my Father in search of what the evil said was the fruit of life. I may too be just like those whom you refuse, except for that one kind lover of our Lords rule.
Luke 10:
27 He answered: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself."
I am afraid that our Lords fields are being picked by the wicked, and I believe that the fruit should be ours.
May Grace Be Received By All,

Thanks bubba,
Truly 'the voice of one crying in the wilderness'. This is enough reading for me tonight, for i want to hold on to the presence of the Spirit in what you have written. 'I see a King standing on the mountain, Prepare ye the way of the Lord'.
May the Lord continue to stir you up for all of our sakes,
grant.

It is true, the enemy can't see anything good that happen to us, if he does, he will attack... it's horrible, but in the name of Jesus, everything will be alright, no matter what!!!

Great blog, my friend!
It is certainly true that the Christian worldview has far less influence today than it once did. The late Francis Schaeffer said this about that subject in his book, The Church at the End of the Twentieth Century:
"Christianity is no longer providing the consensus for our society. And Christianity is no longer providing the consensus upon which our law is based. That is not to say that the United States ever was a ‘Christian nation' in the sense that all or most of our citizens were Christians, nor in the sense that the nation, its laws, and social life were ever a full and complete expression of Christian truth. There is no golden age in the past which we can idealize-whether it is early America, the Reformation, or the early church. But until recent decades something did exist which can rightly be called a Christian consensus or ethos which gave a distinctive shape to Western society and to the United States in a definite way. Now that consensus is all but gone, and the freedoms that it brought are being destroyed before our eyes. We are at a time when humanism is coming to its natural conclusion in morals, in values, and in law. All that society has today are relativistic values based upon statistical averages, or the arbitrary decisions of those who hold legal and political power."
It would seem that much is lost. However, since God truly does cause all things to work together for good for those that love him, I am, more and more, seeing our current condition as a blessing. Perhaps recent events that have led us to this point, where many Christians are more interested in political action to win our country back rather than deeply yielding their lives to our Lord, will bring about new revival in the hearts of believers. That deepening relationship would intern touch the lives of those who do not know our Lord and our culture as a whole. Schaeffer made this point, too, in the same book:
"Why are we in trouble with the blacks? Simple. When white evangelical Christians held the consensus, they did not have enough care and compassion for the blacks to care for them in practical ways. Not that the white evangelical church should have made the blacks white or converted them to a mode of living dominated by ‘white' historical accidents. But the white Christians should have so loved them that they shared with them Christianity and all that flows from it, and this should have included social justice, but also making sure that the black pastors had as good a theological training as the white pastors.
What, then, would have resulted would not have been a violation or an elimination of a black man's blackness, but the black community today would have been far different if white Christians had had proper compassion. And, furthermore, the white community today would be far different. It is our lack of compassion that has brought us to the place we are now."
May we come to the place as believers where others begin to say of us, "See how they love... "
Michael
