the grafted branch

could this be the day of the red horseman?

Revelation 6:
3 When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!”
4 Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.

is our Lord about to return back to His love Jerusalem?

Zechariah 1:
16 “Therefore, this is what the Lord says: ‘I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem,’ declares the Lord Almighty.

could America be the spirit of second olive tree, the branch that is grafted in?

Zechariah 4:
11 Then I asked the angel, “What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?”

have our scales of justice forgotten THEE?

Zechariah 7:
8 And the word of the Lord came again to Zechariah:
9 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.
10 Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor. In your hearts do not think evil of each other.’
11 “But they refused to pay attention; stubbornly they turned their backs and stopped up their ears.
12 They made their hearts as hard as flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the Lord Almighty had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the Lord Almighty was very angry.
13 “‘When I called, they did not listen; so when they called, I would not listen,’ says the Lord Almighty.
14 ‘I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations, where they were strangers. The land was left so desolate behind them that no one could come or go. This is how they made the pleasant land desolate. ’”

is our Lord ready to return back to His sacred land?

Zechariah 8:
3 This is what the Lord says: “I will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the Lord Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain. ”

is america the spirit of the worthless Sheppard known as union?

Zechariah 11:
14 Then I broke my second staff called Union, breaking the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
15 Then the Lord said to me, “Take again the equipment of a foolish shepherd.
16 For I am going to raise up a shepherd over the land who will not care for the lost, or seek the young, or heal the injured, or feed the healthy, but will eat the meat of the choice sheep, tearing off their hoofs.

are we the remaining third?

Zechariah 13:
8 In the whole land,” declares the Lord,
“two-thirds will be struck down and perish;
yet one-third will be left in it.
9 This third I will bring into the fire;
I will refine them like silver
and test them like gold.
They will call on my name
and I will answer them;
I will say, ‘They are my people,’
and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God. ’”

I don't want to disappoint you but the grafted branch is the church. Not the United States. I believe the man on the black horse is next, the one with the scales, the sign of world wide economic collapse, this will usher in the man on the red horse.

i agree that the church is the grafted branch, but don't we as a nation represent the only land that claimed, in it's birth, that He would be the King? haven't we recently rejected that notion?

I would need scripture to validate that and the lack of scripture concerning the United States leaves me with nothing more than guess's. God has raised a great many nations to positions of power and preeminence in the world since the time or Christ. This has all been done for His purposes and to bring about that point in history when the Lord will return. Under Ghengis Khan the Mongolian tribes were the preeminent power in the world with an empire that was larger than any before or since. Today Mongolia is of no significance in the world. Charlemagne thought He had been raised to power to bring the Christian faith to the heathen German tribes by force of arms. His empire is no more. Great Britain was a Christian nation that ruled a vast empire and believed they were to bring Christianity and civilization to the heathen. They are now a nation without an empire and have little influence except as allies of the United States. None of these empires or nations are mentioned in the Bible. Difficult as it is for us to believe, in God's eyes the nation of the greatest importance has always been Israel and the focus of prophesy always relates to the nation of Israel. The church is now part of that by the grace of God and we will rule and reign with Him but He is not finished with Israel yet. That is the nation to watch in the unfolding of events that point to His soon return. The United States has sent more missionaries into the world than any other nation and I believe that is our greatest contribution to the world.

i will not disagree with anything that you are saying. i'm merely asking if this is the time of the red horsemen. none of those other country's you speak of have stood by as the brother to Israel like the U.S. they couldn't have because Israel wasn't around back then.

Zechariah's prophecy seems to be speaking about a time in which the red horsemen is released. is the red horseman that he speaks of the one in Revelation? if so could we be the land that God turns away from when He turns back to Israel? could america be about to lose 2/3 of it's population? could this be our baptism? these are my questions in this blog.

I'm sorry brother I ran right past what you were asking. I believe that the prophecy of Zechariah is about the nation of Israel. When the antichrist comes he will set himself up in the third temple to be worshipped, this is the "abomination of desolation" that Jesus spoke about. That is the time of "Jacob's Troubles" and Zechariah tells us that only 1/3 of Israel will survive. Those are the ones that escape out of Israel and flee to the east. This will happen just before our Lord returns to establish His kingdom. In revelation 2/3 of the people of the entire earth will also die when the four angels chained at the river Euphrates are unchained to stop the flow of the river for the army of the Kings of the east to pass through. The red horse does bring war not just to Israel but the entire world and yes I believe horse in Zechariah is the same in Revelation. The two olive trees in Zechariah 4, because they are anointed could be the two witness's that will prophecy in the last days. Perhaps Enoch and Elijah because they were both translated to heaven without experiencing physical death but in the last days, after their time is served, the two prophets will be killed and lay in the streets of Jerusalem for 3 days and then be resurrected and return to heaven. The order of the four horses and their riders give us a good reference for the way the end will progress, the antichrist on the white horse, war on the red horse, a third world war more terrible than anything we can imagine, economic collapse on the black horse and world wide famine and then death of all sorts adding pestilence to war and famine on the pale horse. I apologize I got confused about the order in my previous comment. In summary in Zechariah the prophet is speaking of things to come upon Israel before Christ return. There is also a great deal of prophecy about Christ first advent and His second. It seems the United States will be destroyed in the war that begins when the four angels are loosed at the river Euphrates along with most of the earth.

and what then becomes of the church? is it raputred before the baptism of fire? could we be the the flock that is shephered by the staff known as union? could these words be directed toward us?

Zechariah 11:
4 This is what the Lord my God says: “Shepherd the flock marked for slaughter. 5 Their buyers slaughter them and go unpunished. Those who sell them say, ‘Praise the Lord, I am rich!’ Their own shepherds do not spare them. 6 For I will no longer have pity on the people of the land,” declares the Lord. “I will give everyone into the hands of their neighbors and their king. They will devastate the land, and I will not rescue anyone from their hands.”

7 So I shepherded the flock marked for slaughter, particularly the oppressed of the flock. Then I took two staffs and called one Favor and the other Union, and I shepherded the flock. 8 In one month I got rid of the three shepherds.

The flock detested me, and I grew weary of them 9 and said, “I will not be your shepherd. Let the dying die, and the perishing perish. Let those who are left eat one another’s flesh.”

10 Then I took my staff called Favor and broke it, revoking the covenant I had made with all the nations. 11 It was revoked on that day, and so the oppressed of the flock who were watching me knew it was the word of the Lord.

12 I told them, “If you think it best, give me my pay; but if not, keep it.” So they paid me thirty pieces of silver.

13 And the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—the handsome price at which they valued me! So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter at the house of the Lord.

14 Then I broke my second staff called Union, breaking the family bond between Judah and Israel.

15 Then the Lord said to me, “Take again the equipment of a foolish shepherd. 16 For I am going to raise up a shepherd over the land who will not care for the lost, or seek the young, or heal the injured, or feed the healthy, but will eat the meat of the choice sheep, tearing off their hooves.

17 “Woe to the worthless shepherd,
who deserts the flock!
May the sword strike his arm and his right eye!
May his arm be completely withered,
his right eye totally blinded!”

This is only my opinion but the mention of the thirty pieces of silver and the potter brought to mind Judas who betrayed Christ. I think this prophesy concerns Israel after their rejection of the Lord. Jesus prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem which took place in 70 AD. His harshest words were for the Pharisees and the rulers of Israel at that time. I believe the rulers are Herod Antipas, the Romans and the Sanhedrin. Rulers who cared nothing for the people. Jesus would have been their shepherd but he was rejected and crucified. From what I have gathered from Revelation and reading those that study prophesy the church will be raptured out before that great day of the Lords wrath. The general opinion is that the rapture of the church could take place at any time before the seven year tribulation begins. Some think it will be half-way through the tribulation and some after the tribulation, pretrib, midtrib and so on. Everything I've have read concerning Zechariah is that his prophesies are for Israel after the Babylonian captivity up to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Along with prophesies concerning the first and and second advent of Christ. Other prophecies that give detailed information about Christ can be found in Isaiah and Jeremiah. I wish I could tell you more.

trust me i appreciate your instruction. i was having difficulty with the silver. my only thought is that our Lord has already turned His back on Israel. i do have trouble understanding why we get to skate the baptism of fire, when in truth it was Jesus who came to puritfy with it, and who can stand? i suppose the ultimate prayer is, the bride.

Praise God,

blessings,
bubba
