Generals of an Unseen Army

There are two Churches. These are the visible and the invisible. One appears powerful and other has power. One is big and prosperous and the other is small and does a lot with little.

The visible church has a building and budget. The organization is solid and safe. It exists on almost every block of the United States. Sunday service is attended each week and VBS is provided each summer.

The half gospel is preached each Sunday and many signup to be part of the institution.

Songs and a message followed by lunches and lazy afternoons.

Happy families and clean neighborhoods, what a liberating wonderful life! Jesus died on a cross!

The invisible Church is different. It doesn’t have a building or budget. There is no organization and it isn’t solid or safe. It is sprinkled over this country in small number. They attend services and sometimes help in VBS.

The Gospel is lived everyday and they enlist others in this army of servants and emissaries.

There family is happy under the burden of the care of many, and are liberated by the law of love. They live the life of the cross.
They receive no notice or esteem.

Yet these are victorious and will receive the crown of life.
