I've seen some of these types of comparisons made in an attempt to denounce the truth of Christ, so be careful. CS Lewis said something along the lines that all myths have a bit of truth in them. Finally, Christ came to earth to unite the truths in all myths and make the myth real.

Grace to you,

Greetings. This is a fair question indeed however the earliest writings of Mithraism were that of very late 1st century AD but mot realistically according to most historians 250AD to 450 AD. Mithras was born of a rock. Jesus was born of a virgin. Christianity was well into circulation at this point. The gospels were written much earlier. Furthermore, the gospels are very historically accurate. The author of Luke has repeatedy been shown through archealogical findings that he is indeed accurate. There isn't much comparison as Mithras never was shown to "die for the sins of the world" unlike our Messiah which actually did. I hope this helps.
