Christmas
Firstly to wish everyone who reads this a very happy, peaceful Christmas. As Christians it's important that we realise the real meaning is still well and truely alive :-)
I have been working hard this week, it finally ended with me working a 14 hour day today at two different places, with 10 minutes of last minute Christmas shopping crammed in as I realised i'd forgotten my sister's Christmas present! Oh dear, I do love Christmas but all of this hype over presents takes over.
I am very much looking forward to Christmas. My big big brother (clive) phones today. He always has excuses for not seeing us, and whilst they may be true they are always hillariously far fetched! We all planned to spend Christmas together at my house, and tonight everyone apart from me was supposed to celebrate my sisters birthday BUT Clive phoned me and said he couldn't make it because he had burnt his throat and had to go to hospital... which loosely translates as, "I was messing about, was drunk, burnt myself by setting fire to vodka and have to go to the hospital- however, the real reason I can't come is because I blow all of my money on alcohol and can't aford a train ticket" so my big little brother (Ben) saved him and drove to Manchester, in CHristmas traffic just to pick him up. Just so we can all spend Christmas together. I love tradition!
Christmas day will be great. We have a house full. Two families from my church will be joining us (unfortunately, the two mothers don't get along...not very Christian really) and it's just going to be a normal, homely Christmas-God willing!. I'm not excited...Ibut it will be nice to be with my family and rest for one day.
I really want to go to bed now,...but I have Christmas cards to make before church tomorrow!
Happy Christmas once again,
God bless
