Devotion
I wrote this last night, and I felt like sharing it, a little bit of hope for this New Year
When darkness does surround me,
My heart cries out again
My mind it longs to understand
Your sufferings and your pain.
For if, my Lord, I understood,
My trials I'm sure would seem,
Not like a raging river,
But a gently flowing stream.
How can your love so freely flow?
Why did you have to die?
"To pay the costly price of sin,
For all mankind", I hear you cry.
What do I owe, how steep's the price
For what I do receive?
"My child, it's done, the price is paid,
You need only to believe."
