Gospel Rocky in Space, 2006!
Gospel Rocky is a Christian theatre group (www.gospelrocky.co.uk) that I was involved in for the past 6 years. It is through this that I got my passion for evangelising, and through this that I really began to search for God. Last year, because of various commitments, and the fact that my parents split up so getting to rehearsals was impossible quite the show...leaving behind many good friends, but keeping with me some fantastic memories!
This week the show is on at my local theatre! I gave the director of the show a call yesterday telling him that I had a day off college if he needed any help, so I went along to the theatre at 2pm. Its now past midnight... and I got home about 40 minutes ago! I've been stood up for 10 hours... lol...my feet are hurting so much...and I haven't even done much today!
It has been incredible to see everyone, old friends...new faces...people that have been so good to me over the years...and i'm looking forward to a good week with them, praising the name of Jesus! As always, the show at the moment is awful! No dount with lots of prayer the guys can pull it off though! I must say it's harder backstage than it is being IN the show...I never thought that i'd say that...but I feel exhausted! When you are on stage, people see the work that you are doing and appreciate it...backstage you just get screamed and moaned at...and have to be in ten places at once...haha... great :-D!
Completely out of character...and completely changing subject...I have left my politics essay very late! It's due in tomorrow and I haven't started. I know that's really bad, but i've had a week of feeling very "hassled" and I just needed a break! On Sunday it will be one year since my parents split up (I can never enjoy bonfire night again...we had REAL fireworks!) i'm really dreading it. I pray that God won't let me think about it...because I know that i'm going to be so emotional, and I don't want to get like that. I know God will be with me though...he never fails.
