Too much to say!
Usually I begin to write with an intention... tonight I may end up just rambling!
Church today, was as always inspirational! We had a guest speaker (Alan Rigby- family friend!) this morning, and he spoke on Phillipians 2, focussing on verses 5-11. It was an amazing message and as a church it was perfect for us. The great thing was that Tim our Pastor, had got the same sermon prepared for the evening without knowing what Alan was going to speak on! Pastor David from Africa was due to preach tonight but had to cancel so Tim was left to prepare his message very quickly, and chose exactly the same text as Alan! God wanted us to hear that today!
Patience has come up again today! I can't remember where I was reading from...it may have been either Daniel or Phillipians...but it just jumped out...the word patience...nothing else seemed relavent...I must have patience!
We're having a church weekend away *roadtrip* to conwy in March. I am so excited...how sad is that! It's an opportunity for me to have a weekend of study and worship, as well as time to myself. Lots of time for walking *I love walking!* I love grass, trees, mountains, lakes... !!!, maybe i'll manage to fit a bit of horse riding in, and most importantly, lots of time with God! I am REALLY looking forward to it! I just have to save a bit of money!
Oh today I really learnt that anything really is possible with God. I have been struggling with my voice for about a week now and I was pretty worried about singing with the rest of the worship team today but all in all it hasn't been too bad. God has given my voice enough strength to remain when it's really needed!
This evening, my sister and I were asked to sing a song during the service (we were asked 5 mins before the service) and I was reluctant, because at this point I honestly could barely talk...but the pastor told me to have faith, and to sing and God would provide the voice... and somehow he did! God really was with me and I couldn't have been more thankful! I really do miss having my voice at the moment... I really love to sing (and talk)! I spend a lot of time at my piano singing to God...and although I know God doesn't mind that my voice sounds absolutely awful right now, my pride is kicking in and I know that i'm not singing as well as I should be! The Lord knows best though!
Busy days ahead of me! Gospel Rocky theatre shows all week (www.gospelrocky.co.uk) i'm not quite sure where the college word that I still haven't finished fits in. I need a few more hours in the day!
God bless
