Hello,
I think we all struggle in our churches with finding help for the teen section. My church is certainly no different. From sunday schol to youth group, from creche to youthclub there seems to be a certain apathy toward working with teenagers. Now I am not sure if this is fear or if it is just a lack of will on the behalf of the congregation, but rest assured we have been where you are.
The first suggestion I would make is simply this.. Throw yourself on the Lord. I found myself on the floor face down at one stage pleading with our Father for help with the youth. God is faithful he will send help. Sometimes though, those who may be called, simply refuse to acknowledge their calling. And as a result our youth groups suffer.
So in my case, I enlisted the help of the older teens who were well grounded in their faith. You know kids follow their peers. If you have any late teens or very early twentysomethings, consider approaching them and asking them for help. But I understand your struggle. And it is so frustrating.
But God's feet.. thats were I found my answer.. thats where he will answer you too, I promise you that.
