20 Day Countdown
Mirë Dita! / Good Day!
I have 20 days left before I go on my mission trip to Kosova. There have been joyous times and also struggling times. Many in the team have been attacked in marriages and relationships etc. Still, we have to be happy because God provided ever dime we needed for this trip and the money keeps coming in. I actually prayed this after our team fasted for 2 days and met to pray. I prayed God would open the flood gates of heaven and pour out more than what we needed so we could bring an offering that would bless the people in Kosova. I'm not sure everyone else caught the same vision. I feel God blessed us with that extra money for that very reason, not to just have a big party on it when we get back.
Anyway, I am excited, yet I am struggling with the attacks coming at me from every side. Even my wife is being used to attack me. I see blessing as my manager came to our church through all this and many other blessings from God. Yet I am attacked almost daily by people around me. It is an emotional roller coaster.
I think if I could just get one good nights sleep it would help too. We have some new neighbors that moved in next door and they have two dogs that bark all the time. I am training them with a silent trainer I have that I used on my dogs. It pronounces a high pitched sound after a certain number of barks that stops the dogs from barking...most of the time. We also live a block away from na train track that goes through town. Let me tell you, those guys like to blow that horn at night time really long. Then the dogs next door start to haul at that. Oh the joy!
I know it will all be worth it, but it is taking a toll on some of us. Please keep us in your prayers as we go out to spread the Good News in a Muslim nation. Pray for our team and spouses: Pastor Lee & Udeen, Jason & Sarah, Darrell & Jan, Doug, Pat, and Nick. It is only by God's grace that we are able to do this. I have faith he will give us strength and wisdom and we will be used mightily in Kosova.
Oh, there goes the train again (0520) and the dogs! I hope they don't wake my wife.
I look forward to writing about my trip when I get back.
