Book Review: Highways And Hedges
I recently came across this book, Highways And Hedges, that I heard about from a friend of a friend. I must admit, I'm not a fan of poetry. When I was in school, we had to study poems, and a lot of them were boring and hard to understand. Highways And Hedges is an exception. When I started reading, I knew I had found something worth my time. A lot of the poems read like songs: they're not too complex to understand. Most of them are very down-to-earth, but all are strong in imagery. The author created all of the art himself and included it in the book. Very talented. I'm not sure if he drew them himself or made them on the computer. Regardless, I liked them. I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars. The author's website is also very interesting, very artsy like. Check it out. http://www.adamherringpoetry.com
