Kingdom cooking - Home Made Pasta Sauce

This will be one of the last recipes I post. I would seem like it is all I think about, but it really is not.
I truly believe there is a large move of the Holy Spirit to inform people that they are being killed by todays pre-made foods. More and more I am hearing the same concern from people around me, and mostly from Christians.
Our health is very important to God. The Devil comes to kill and destroy. We are God's creation, and He created us to have life abundantly. Satan would have us sick and dying, and therefore ineffective to God's Kingdom, while those who do not know Jesus as their saviour are going to hell even faster.
I have taken on learning how to cook to try to save myself and my family from this physical attack. We as a nation have learned to trust the products available to us in the supermarkets and have become addicted to them. Even those items which would seem healthy are laced with substances that would be considered poison by themselves.

This is my recipe for Tomato pasta sauce, which can be used for various meals, and will please even the fussiest of kids.
For example, my son loves the frozen instant pizzas he got accustomed to, and what I do now is take some of this sauce, spoon it on english muffins, grate some cheddar cheese on top and pop into a toaster oven. He Loves them.

Make enough to can a bunch for later, since it is an all day affair.
There will be no preservatives, corn syrups, monosodiums, or anything else I can't pronounce or spell.

HOME MADE TOMATO PASTA SAUCE

Makes 4 large mason jars, plus about 3 servings.

Takes approx. 10 hours.
Any small adjustments to the recipe still work fine. Do it to your own tastes.

2 Dozen plum tomatoes.
1 bunch cluster tomatoes
1 cup water
1 can organic tomato juice
3 or 4 tablespoons Olive Oil
1 stick of butter
2 whole garlic bunches, each clove peeled, crushed, and chopped fine
2 whole onions chopped fine (vidalia onions are good for this)
1 bunch spring onions (scallions)
1 can organic crushed tomatoes
1 can organic tomato sauce
1 can organic tomato paste
2 fresh organic oranges
1 Tablespoon organic cane sugar
1/2 bunch fresh cilantro chopped fine (if you like a south-western taste)
1 bunch fresh basil chopped fine
A few sprigs of fresh rosemary chopped fine
A few sprigs of fresh Oregano chopped fine.
Sweet Italian Sausage, or if you prefer, just put in some sausage seasoning.

Cut up all tomatoes into quarters, place in a large pot with some olive oil and a little water. Cook on medium heat until soft. Once softened, leaving the juice in the main pot, place tomatoes in a mixer and chop up to a pulp. Place pulp back in main pot.
Pour in the water (1/2 cup), tomato juice, tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, 1 1/2 tablespoons Olive oil, stick of butter, chopped cilantro, basil, garlic, onion, rosemary, and oregano.
Also add a few pinches of coarse Sea Salt and a little fresh ground black pepper.
Squeeze the oranges into the mix, catching the seeds.
Add the tablespoon of sugar
If using sausage, remove from casing, ball up into bite size pieces, add to mix.

Cook on low for about 8-10 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent burning on bottom.

Can or freeze what you do not eat immediately.

(Don't forget to thank God for His wonderful creation, how we are blessed by it, and for the healing qualities that He has provided right in the food we can enjoy)

that receipe sounds tasty! I was wondering, with all those wonderful organic ingredients, have you tried stevia? Stevia is an all natural alternative to sugar, AND it takes less stevia to sweeten tomato sauce than cane sugar(I know, I've tried it!)
and thanks for all the cool food ideas!

I have never heard of stevia Blackrose.
I will check it out.

I am kind of partial to natural cane sugar. For a time I lived on the south Coast of Southern Africa, and we had cane fields everywhere. I chewed on stalks a lot as a snack during school, out at play, etc.

Thanks for the feedback.
