Working for a Godly Company

I praise God for the company I work for because it is a Christ center management / leadership. It is a medium/large construction company. The owner and president shares his faith at staff meetings and personally when the opportunity arrises.

I worked for this company for 6 years and then left to work at a boys home in OK. When God released us from our work in the boys home I called back here and my old job was still available. I was welcomed back with open arms and a luncheon. God is good - all the time!

The president has told me a couple of times that it is a real blessing to have me back. I like that. The company also provides for 3 hours a month for volunteer work that is paid time. Whether donating at the Red Cross or working at the rescue mission our time is covered.

The president is also very heavy into supporting the local community charities and even when times are slow he does not stop his giving. God has blessed him for it.

I think there is nothing better than working for a Christian company. I would like to here why others enjoy a Christian atmosphere in their workplace.

In Christ,
GreyBear

I have only experienced working at non christian places or at least not really openly so. Yet I carried the Lord with me in my heart. It would have made the whole thing much better with a small prayer before work. Now "i did pray every morning and night and I was very richly rewarded for it. In fact if the Lord had not led me directly I would never have worked there in the first place yet I always felt so alone.

I have herd of Christian places where they would pray before work and the Lord helped things run smoothly ...
I so yearned for that type of place. I so long to see and feel being truly in His Holy Light with others instead of being hidden from His Choice people.

You! must of been a hard worker greybear for them to take you back.

I worked in a voluntary group called Fesoasoani Trust it was a Samoan Trust job, I worked with my dad for 10 years.

I was only suppose to be a Receptionist, I ended up preaching to the guys that came in they got prison and these poor guys were really terrified! a few of them gave their hearts to the Lord! and told my dad there should be more woman out there like your daughter. I took the clients to Housing New Zealand homes to even get there homes. I was only getting $80.00 a week whereas the Probation Officers were getting $700.00 a week or more for the same job our Trust was doing.

Some of the guys were really afraid of going to prison for the first time but I prayed for them and a few of them gave their hearts to the Lord they said they felt Gods prescence all around the prison cells and were not afraid anymore.

People are really needing God but it needs someone like you and me to talk to them and tell them how? to find him.

I worked most of my life in hospitals as well, old peoples hospitals but what? , makes me upset is that they have lost all my files for these jobs.

Now that I am older, the doors keep shutting on me they keep saying No vancancys or they take someone more experience than myself, you would think when you have your Bachelors of Social Work you would get a job easy not true in some cases. I wonder why? the Lord keeps shutting the door on work though.

But my christian friend said if I did have a job I would not have been there to support her to take her to the hospital, she said the Lord put my name on her mind to take her.

The Lord also told me your house is used for my glory. But this is suppose to be for free because God told me never charge for doing his work only normal work.

I am on a widows benefit, but still wish I had a good paying job. But everytime I go for the job the door keeps shutting. And yet? I have been a hard worker all my life when I was young I had so many different jobs, hangbags; shoe factory; crippled society even got all her four children back from social work, they were so skinny and I fed them up and they were so healthy.

I am thinking? maybe the Lord wants me to work overseas when my boy leaves home nextyear (if it is Gods Will).

I guess I just have to keep waiting on the Lord.

Greybear, I am with you on this one. You could say that I work in a Christian centered workplace, being a stay at home mom, but in this case I'm referring to my husband. He has two jobs, one working for the school, and one selling monuments. Well, his monument bosses are both Christians, and the difference I see in him and his whole outlook on life is like night and day when compared to before he started working for them. He has been a Christian all along, but it is like there is so much less drag on him now that he is working with Christian people.
