Marriage..My Heart Cry

Marriage My Heart Cry ..

As I venture in this commitment called marriage I have noticed the joy and agony that comes with it. Sometimes my mind seems so confused as if wow did I make the wrong decision, or did I completely think this thing through It s funny how in the world they divorce like they change underwear and unfortunately so do us Christians.. What I have noticed is the thought might cross your mind when your emotions are high and flesh is weak, but the reason to stay in a marriage isn t for the other person. As much as my emotions want to run, my heart cries out to God in that the commitment was to him first to stay in this covenant with our husbands. At times the person who you signed up with this life long journey is not who nor what you thought it would be We see old people with marriages 50+ years and say awe how cute they look..is it that they are cute to us because they have been through so much headache they have finally come to a point where they just caved in and said okay whatever or is it that they have been walking in the spirit and their words are speaking through their actions of displaying to be the best wife or husband they can be. Sometimes we say this so clich© oh, I want to be the best husband/wife I can be for you is that really what you mean or is it something that at that moment when everything is rite that s what you want to be for them, but when things aren t looking so great that be the best attitudes goes out the window and our own personal selfishness and pride steps in saying I really don t want to do all the work it takes to be the best so I will settle for either being sometimes the best or stuck as my excuse being I m trying to be the best . It is crazy that a couple said this to me a while ago and it was the heart of the matter is the matter of the heart , this holds so much truth. If you are currently in a marriage examine your own heart, as much as we like to put the microscope on the other person, there is no way we can help, nor change, nor examine the other persons heart we must pray for God to bring conviction in his own timing, But we can examine and identify things with our own heart and with the Lords help make the necessary changes that are oh so needed today. I too must examine my heart daily and sometimes I don t like what I find, a lot of times in marriage your spouse may do things that hurt you deeper than they can imagine (I m sure not intentionally), but the scar is still there none the less and we have to be able to move past this and keep our eyes on Jesus not our spouse because sometimes your spouse seeing you keep your eyes on Christ will then help them get their focus to and not just be a bunch of talk but a walking living proof of what is in their heart.

Wives and Husbands Ephesians 5:22-33

22(AR) Wives,(AS) submit to your own husbands,(AT) as to the Lord. 23For(AU) the husband is the head of the wife even as(AV) Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is(AW) himself its Savior. 24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit(AX) in everything to their husbands.
25(AY) Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and(AZ) gave himself up for her, 26that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by(BA) the washing of water(BB) with the word, 27so(BC) that he might present the church to himself in splendor,(BD) without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.[a] 28In the same way(BE) husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, 30because(BF) we are members of his body . 31(BG) "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and(BH) the two shall become one flesh." 32This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. 33However,(BI) let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she(BJ) respects her husband.
