W.O.W.

Well hello to all, and let me set you straight if you think W.O.W. has anything to do with a very popular MMORPG game. And, yes, I know that game, because I have two older teens who were so addicted to it, that I personally played it. This helped me to understand them a little better, relate to the world they live in, and help them become more tuned in to the magical (as in wondrous) world they already live in. I guess everyone needs to escape this world, occasionally. The young people today are surrounded with the tools to do so at the expense of really experiencing life outside a game. High School and College dropout rates are too high in our country. Parents have to be parents and not let their kids spend hours on computer games. Kids under 15 shouldn't have computers with internet access in their rooms. Yeah, thats hardline... but their whole lives are at stake. Maybe ,if more kids were taught to spend a little more time to complete the "level" that God has placed us in on this earth... .to play by His rules, and reap a great reward, they would. Both of my older sons are in college now, and, they both won scholarships to great colleges, and if they focus on their studies... maybe I will be blessed with seeing them graduate...
... ... My W.O.W. stands for World of Worship... ... ... ... .
I don't mean worship, as in, go to a certain church on a couple of particular days of the week, either... ... I am talking about being worshipful. The total giving over of your life to our Creator... . A lifetime commitment to God's laws, or, at the very least, attempting to abide by His laws.(as no one is perfect.)... . Worship is talking to Him, and listening for an answer... not with your ears, but with your whole being, and sometimes waiting awhile for the answer... .. Worship is praying to Him, not praying just for personal things... but for others, the world, everything. I pray out loud, I pray in whispers, I pray silently... I believe he hears them all. Sometimes, my prayers begin as just a conversation... ..you don't have to reach for the cell phone every time you need to air a problem, or even when you just feel good about something. Talk to God, sometimes. Then, sure... make that call if you need to... ... ... ... ... .Worship makes us feel good... hopeful... ..it reaches deep down into all the nasty nooks and crannies in our souls and cleanses us. Worship frees us, makes us buoyant, calms us, shields us from evil, creates harmony with the world around us. Worship of Him leads to peace within, and I believe when more commit to it, peace without... ..A World of Worship under God, sounds like a wondrous adventure to me... ..join me there want you?
