Christmas fruit cake

Recipe for Fruit Cake

As we get ready for the coming holiday season, a reminder of what Christmas is about.

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,
self-control; against such there is no law.
NIV translation]

Take generous unlimited amount of the Fruit of the Spirit:

JOY
LOVE
PEACE
KINDNESS
PATIENCE
GOODNESS
GENTLENESS
FAITHFULNESS
SELF-CONTROL

Mix tenderly with a sincere heart,
Asking often for discernment and wisdom.
If the Christmas Spirit Fruit Cake doesn't seem perfect,
Spend some time in prayerful meditation.
Mix in a generous amount of heartfelt repentance,
With an equal amount of compassion for others,
Being sure to remove all anger,
Selfishness, bitterness and resentment,
Forgiving as you have been forgiven.
Blend this mixture into the Fruit of the Spirit,
Bake in an oven of truth.
Place on a platter of trust,
Generously sprinkle with tidbits of grace and compassion
Cover completely with unconditional love,
For Christ said the greatest of these is love.
Share your Christmas Spirit Fruit Cake
With family and friends in the coming new year.
Let Him shine every day in the coming year.
The spirit of CHRISTmas is Christ
Because He came, our world will never be the same.
Merry Christmas to everyone at CB

Anna,
This was written back in 2005. I used it as a kind of Christmas news letter rather then actual cards that year. Glad you like it. This kind of fruit cake is always in season.
