Earlier today, as I was reading a blog by billyb entitled What About This Man, I started thinking, what about me? When I hold a "mirror" before me, what exactly do I see? Am I a reflection of Christ or am I merely a reflection of me? Am I concerned about my reflection in my mirror or am I more concerned about how someone else looks?
Should we neglect our brothers and sisters in the Lord? No. We are to care about and help one another as we all follow Christ. However in doing so, we must not neglect looking into the mirror ourselves.
- How is my relationship with God?
- What am I doing for Christ?
- Who do people see when they look at me? Do they see me or do they see Christ in me?
- Am I busy doing the Master's business or am I too busy taking care of my own or the business of others?
- Is is all about God or is it all about me?
When I stand before God one day, He is not going to be talking to me about what so and so did or did not do. He is only going to be talking to me about ... me.
I don't know about you but I think I need to spend some more time in front of God's mirror.
Blessings!
