His Life Lived In Us

For we realize that our life in this world is actually his life lived in us. - 1 John 4:17 (Phillips)

There are rather sobering words. Is this true of our lives? We talk about being dead to sin. We talk about being a new creation in Christ; alive in Him but when the world looks at us, what do they see? Do they see us or do they see Christ living in us?

We are called to be His witnesses. We are called to be a reflection of Him so that the world may see Him and come to know Him. What does our "mirror" look like? Is it smudged so that we project a distorted image or do we daily present ourselves before God, allowing the Holy Spirit to apply the Word of God to our lives so that we sparkle and shine? I want to sparkle and shine! How about you?

Blessings!

Great thoughts K :princess: . We see and hear a lot about 'predestination' within christendom. But not much at all about what we are 'predestinated' to be. "Conformed to the image of His Son" Jesus Christ. Thanks for your blog. God Bless.

Great Scripture selection, KR. I never thought about this concept. "Sobering" is the exact word to describe its effect. It also reflects on the verse "Who is man that You are mindful of him?" (I paraphrase) Good blog. - bibleguy64
