Earlier today, my heart was aching when I bumped into a friend. Due to confidentiality, I was unable to share with my friend any details whatsoever. I could simply ask her to pray. My friend didn't need to know anything and she let me know that. I needed her to pray and so... she did, knowing that God already knew everything there was to know. She didn't ask questions, try to counsel me or give me advice, or anything else. She simply put her arm around me and helped me to hobble before the Throne of God. She raised my tired arms up and began to pray on my behalf.
Oh, how good it was to have her hand wrapped around mine and feel her love and her strength. As she prayed on my behalf, I realized that it was not just her praying for me... it was Jesus Christ who dwells within her! He was praying for... me.
There are times when we may not have a friend in this world standing by our side but there is ONE who is always standing by. Jesus Christ is our advocate and because of Him, we can boldly come before God, any time, any place for any reason.
