Where Can I Flee From His Presence?

My friends here at CB know that I love to be on the move. The idea of hopping into a vehicle and traveling long distances for hours does not faze me in the least. I um... I don't even mind miles and miles of unending fields of corn across the central U.S. For me the road itself is an adventure and if nothing is happening at, something will eventually. In the meantime, I will marvel at the expanse of the land of my birth and seek to find God's fingerprints, even in a sometimes lonely and barren land.

Our lives are a journey. Sometimes this journey is filled with fun, adventure and spectacular experiences and scenery. Sometimes it is rather mundane. There are times when it is treacherous and we fear injury or even death, not just for ourselves but for others with us. Sometimes the road winds through the desert. The dry wind blows and the sun beats down upon us. We see nothing but sand for miles and sometimes we cannot see anyone else, including God, either. Other times, we find ourselves out on the high seas in a brutal storm clinging to our little ship called Faith with every ounce of our being.

David must have been thinking of those times when he wrote Psalm 139. How good it is to remember that wherever we go, there is no where that we can flee from the presence of God and that He is ever mindful of us! We never travel alone.

Blessings!
