Home Bible Study

We have a Wed PM Bible study in our home. Commers have been young parents and most themes have centered around parenthood and family life. One of the regulars are going to bring two step syblings who have never been to church before and are teenagers . This is both a great oportunity and a challenge. I feel I am being led to have "living the abundant life" as a theme with John 10:10 to begin. The teenagers are from an abusive and neglected home. The have been living with an alcoholic mother who leaves them alone for weeks at a time. My son-in-law is assuming partial custody and this is causing a problem in my daughter's family. I am praying that the Bible study can help create some healing in the whole situtation. Chris and Jessica are going to keep the two teenagers, Josh 14 and Holly 16, two days a week. We are concerned about the impact that this will have with their own 2 children, Eli 3 and Mia 1.

Larry,

Welcome to the blog. I pray for the healing love of Christ to come into everyone affected by this situation. May the Holy Spirit lift you all up to find the best path to follow. May the Father watch over and protect you. I pray for God's wisdom to enlighten your home and all those studying His holy word. All this I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Grace to you,
Vince
