I cannot comment on your specific situation, but I can relate my own experience. I was often rebuffed and giving the "I could care less" look when I tried to help people understand better ways to manage their health. It puzzled me quite a bit until I was asked if I loved the people I was trying to enlighten.
I was puzzled at first until I realized that people will listen to those that they trust and have a relationship with. Since that time I have only concentrated on caring and loving those that are in need. Surprisingly this has lead to a lot more sharing of health and spiritual principals than I could have anticipated.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised since it was Christ love that attracted me to Him.
Godd Bless.

Hmmm. Not sure what the topic is.
Concerning healthy eating I think it is clear in the scriptures that we should not partake of anything to excess.
I see several guiding principles in the scriptures that should help us determine our behavior.
1. Edification (that which builds up spritually) "All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient; all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.", 1 Corinthians 10;23. Paul was addressing the Church at Corinth's concern about eating meat offered to idols. Paul expressed a freedom in Christ to partake of such meat. "But meat commendeth us not to God; for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.", 1 Corinthians 8:8. Paul expresses a liberty in Christ concerning what we eat or drink; but we must always ask if it builds us up or not.
2. Stumbling Block. Concerning what we eat we are required to put others around us first. ""But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to them that are weak.", Corinthians 8:9. Eating seems like such a simple process; no big deal. But we must remember we are to always be 'disciple-makers'. You may love your cup of coffee, but if you know a new christian you are with thinks it is wrong to drink it , then don't drink it! Their spiritual needs always come before ours. "Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.", 1 Corinthians 8:13.
"If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no questions, for conscience sake... .Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other.", 1 Corinthians 10:28-29. We may have certain dietary preferences, but in such a situation as Paul describes they are irrelevant. Others always come before ourselves.
3. Personal self control in Christ. This verse is pretty self-explanatory. "All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient; all things are lawful unto me, but I will not be brought under the power of any." 1 Corinthians 6:12.
4 God's Glory. "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God; Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.", 1 Corinthians 10:31-33.
I may have opened a can of worms here (no, I'm not going to eat them) But I think these principles may help answer the question. It does for me at least. And we must always pray first, making sure what we tell others about their diet is what God wants us to say, lest we offend and be a stumbling block to their salvation. God's Glory and others always come first, not my own preferences or beliefs about diet.
In Him,
Ben

Ben, you are right! It IS kind of hard to figure out what the topic is in this blog, sorry.
My real question was how to know the right way to share what you know to be true, whether it is about diet or any other Bible topic. I think ChristianWalker hit the proverbial "nail on the head" when he talked about us loving those we are visiting with. The Bible tells us that if we don't have love we are just making noise. Even if we use perfect language, yet do not have love we have "missed the boat" totally.
1 Corinthians 13:1, 2, 3
Thanks guys!
