God bless you indeed Matthew! I just missed you in the chatroom by seconds. I wanted to commend you for being a serviceman. My oldest son was a Marine and my youngest is a lifer in the Air Force serving in S. Korea as we speak. You and all your brethern are kept in my prayers constantly.
As from what you said in your blog, there are no coincidences, only God choosing to remain anonymous. I think that should be my nick on CB, as I've said it often!
Even though it is very difficult on all who are separated, especially families of the military, it IS only through Christ that the separations can make us stronger. As you know, it is through the temptations of the devil that any of us are tested. Remember, even Jesus. And He was the only perfect one. We are to continue to strive to be more like Him. When we fail, we have a loving Father that reproves us and then wraps His loving arms around us while we cry.
My prayer is that whatever has caused your wife to be uneasy about your marriage, that she be strengthened in your time of separation as well. That the LORD gives her a peace in the trials caused by the separation. For you, I pray that the enemy does not use your fellow soldiers as detours away from the path He has set for you. Keep your eyes, ears and heart focused on Him and not those around you and He will keep you uplifted. If you are tempted to fall to the physical torment screaming in your head, He can give you peace when you call out instead of acting out. Just like an injury or bruise, our physical or emotional needs will pass. The sooner we come to Him in prayer about them, the sooner they will go away.
Has your wife joined CB? You can chat in chatroom or even instant message her. Perhaps being here will strengthen her as well.
Stay strong, stay faithful and He will take care of the rest.
Many blessings!! 2G

And Amen to that. Take care of yourself. Stay close to your wife during these times. Listen carefully to her. You may well see God working in her. Pray for that opening. milt

Wow! Thanks, Matt, for your testimony and faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. I'm sure you know the song, "God Ran". "...and the only time I saw...it was the only time I saw God run...was when He ran to me, took me in His arms, held my head to His chest, said "My son's come home again!" Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes, with forgiveness in His voice He said "Son, don't you know I still love you?"...God Ran!
Heaven is rejoicing and God is smiling...He is Lord, Saviour, your Closest Ally and Help in any time of need.
Be Blessed, my brother. I am praying for your safe return home.

Welcome Matt. Firstly, let's thank God that he is forgiving and we can come back to him after we've fallen. Be sure to keep him foremost in your life and everything else will fall into place. I pray everyday that he be my thoughts, my words, my actions even before I know what they are. Trust in God with everything you have and rely on his will.
Secondly, I have very few regrets in my 40 plus years. One that is near the top is not having served my country when I was young enough to do so. I thank you for your service and pray for you and those serving with you.
God Bless.
