MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Merry Christmas to all ! I am believing you ll have a great Christmas, if not you ve come to the right place. Our Lord was not born on this day but this is the day we have chosen to honor his birth. I recently found a youtube video about The Real Bethlehem Star it was really good and perfect for this time of year. I have added a link for it on the links page so check it out.
I want to welcome you to Church. We will begin with prayer;
Heavenly Father thank you for sending your son Jesus to this place you created. You let him take our punishment so we can come direct to you and be your chosen children. Thank you for opening our hearts and minds as we study your word. Make our hearts ready to receive your word and share it with all we meet, in Jesus name we pray Amen!
Our text today is what other then, Luke 2:11-14 This is the Christmas Story:
For to you is born this day in the town of David a Savior, Who is Christ (the Messiah) the Lord! And this will be a sign for you [by which you will recognize Him]: you will find [after searching] a Baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. [I Sam. 2:34; II Kings 19:29; Isa. 7:14.] Then suddenly there appeared with the angel an army of the troops of heaven (a heavenly knighthood), praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest [heaven], and on earth peace among men with whom He is well pleased [men of goodwill, of His favor].
We come here today to honor the Birth of our Lord. A miraculous birth, that was shared with the lowest of civilization at the time who were shepherds.
Jesus came to the hurting, lost, hungry, lonely . If this is you he is waiting to comfort you. If you would like him to come into your life please repeat this prayer with me,
Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I believe you came to take away my sins I ask you to come into my heart and make me whole, take over my life and teach me your ways. Thank you Lord, in your name I pray Amen!
