Online Bible Study

Well, i've been trying to get more into bible study and i found this site online for just that. They give you lessons to read with scriptures to look up. I read the first lesson and am really seeing how the whole bible ties together from the OT to the NT. I was going to cut and paste the first lesson, but was afraid it would be to long. So i'm going to tell you about the site so you can check it out for yourselves if you want. freebiblestudy.org

I've been trying to do something similar on this blog-site. To make it easier, I have even embedded the scripture into my blog so you can read it wherever you have your computer -- even if you do not have a Bible close by. I hope you will take apeak and let me know what you think, or how I can make it better; not only is this my first Bible study blog, it is the first time I have ever written my own Bible study course!

We are studying the Gospel of Mark, and the study is loosely based on a Bible study outline published by Bible Study Fellowship (BSF). I also try to read the parallel verses in Matthew and Luke and note any significant variations. I then add some background information and notes from my references to give context and to enhance the readers' understanding of the passage. Then I present 5 questions -- some are application, some are reading-comprehension, and others are more reflective.

I had been hoping to get some discussion going on the blog, but not many people have added posts so far. I hope some of your will be brave enough to post further thoughts and questions so we can get a real online discussion going!
