Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Eph 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
Eph 6:20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Paul wrote this... HE needed prayer on his behalf so that he would do what God called him to do... This is an encouragement to me because out of all the christians in the new testament that I admire or envy the most it is Paul. He was a true christian in every sense of the word, and if he lost hope or was scared to do what he was supposed to do I know that I am in good company.
Jam 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Jam 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Jam 1:7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
Here is another encouragement for me... I know that the Lord did not leave me without help, He gave me the Holy Spirit. I also know that I am very stupid and hardly ever know when the Holy Spirit is talking let alone what he is saying. Once again God has given us a way to defeat the flesh. He has given us access to an unmeasurable amount of wisdom, all we have to do is ask in faith.
