We live in a culture where truth is a rare commodity. The value of truth hasn't increased like the value of gold or silver but has decreased in value. In the hearts of many people, the truth has become the lie and the lie has become the truth. The father and author of all lies is satan, called the deceiver. He is the source of all lies. There are some very common lies that the enemy tells people. He whispers these particular lies because in the past he has had a measure of success as people receive and come to believe his lies. Believing the lies of the enemy can potentially devestate your life.

As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7) What you think becomes the truth or lie you live by. If you believe that you are not loved you will begin to live this lie. You will start avoiding people and you will respond to the lie by not loving others. The lie will become a self fulfilling prophecy. You will first believe the lie and then speak the lie and eventually live by the lie. In this way the enemy deceives and destroys you and keeps you from fulfilling the plans and destiny that God has for your life. God has good plans for you according to Jeremiah. The enemy has terrible plans for you. You simply can't afford to believe even the smallest lie about yourself, others or God.

Here is an example of how the enemy begins to steal from you with plans to eventually kill and destroy you. He tells you that you are unloveable (he lies to you about you) Then you begin to believe that lie. He then tells you that others also think you are unloveable (he lies to you about others) and then he tells you that God doesn't really love you either (he lies to you about God). And the truth is that none of the lies he tells are correct. All are lies. I don't want to be lied to by someone who knows the truth. The enemy knows that there is a God but he tells you there is no God. He knows that there is a Heaven but he tells you and I that there is no Heaven. He is NOT DECEIVED. He is the "DECEIVER" but he himself is not deceived. That's just wrong on all counts! I refuse to be lied to by someone who knows the truth. His character and nature is to deceive, yet he knows of God. That is why YOU and I can't afford to believe any lie of the enemy.

You must know the truth and the TRUTH shall make you free!

I want to go through a few of the most common lies that the enemy tells people.

1. God is disappointed in you
2. God does not care about you
3. God made you ugly
4. God will not take you back after what you have done
5. God is angry with you
6. You aren't going to make it to Heaven
7. You are a failure

All of these are common lies. They are devised by the deviser of lies to keep you out of relationship with God.
The reason these lies seem to work for the enemy is that people are so quick to judge themselves and others and God too harshly. We just don't understand God's great grace and mercy and his AGAPE love that knows no end. It's just a terrible thing to live life believing a lie and then find out that you were wrong about someone.

My sister, Laurie admits that for many years she despised and hated a cousin of ours. A woman in our family told her some terrible things about our cousin. Laurie believed these lies and never wanted to be around that cousin. She would avoid seeing her and was suspicious of her character. The thing is this .after 15 years she was told the truth regarding our cousin. Today, they are best friends and the lie was exposed. My sister is walking in truth and has developed a wonderful relationship with our cousin. They travel together and are best of friends. She had believed an unfortunate lie. She wasted 15 years being apart from our cousin. This is how it is when we believe the lies of the enemy. When we believe that God doesn't love us or is disappointed in us or angry at us. We keep away from him and miss out on such wonderful blessings and the most important relationship of our life.

When I want to know something about God I go directly to God. I go to the source. God has said that his love and mercy are from everlasting to everlasting. His mercies are new every morning. He has created you in his likeness and image. He cares so much about you that he has numbered the hairs on your head and bottles your tears. That is deep love. He invites you to cast your cares on him for he CARETH (he does care) for YOU (insert your name). It's up to you to believe and receive the truth in your heart. Meditate on his Word and your mind will be cleansed and cleared. Don't believe that just because others don't care...God doesn't either. Don't cheapen God by believing he is like others. He is near the broken hearted.

God will always love you and satan will never love you. You can rest in knowing the truth.

God is not the accuser. He is the redeemer.

You are loved by God. That will never change. You are the apple of his eye. You are his child. He would love to hear from you today.

I am thanking God for his great love today and for dying on the Cross to purchase my Salvation. I am going to believe now that he really does love me! He could have called hosts of angels to rescue him...instead, he chose to rescue me.
