Creation Series: Day 3 - One Land Mass

When God created Earth, the dry land that appeared on Day 3 was one large mass or supercontinent, similar to the picture.

Man's version of how this supercontinent split apart forming continents and God's version are quite different. Let's first briefly read man's word as it describes the splitting apart of the supercontinent. Then we will look at what God's Word tells us.

Man's Word as Sold to Children of this World
During the Triassic period, 200 millions years ago, all the land was just one supercontinent called Pangaea. After millions of years, Pangaea gradually began to split apart. By the Jurassic period, the supercontinent was breaking up into separate continents. Further separation occurred as shallow seas spread across parts of the land. Sea levels had risen by the middle of the Cretaceous period and the different continents were isolated. Now God's Truth as Told to the Children of God
Genesis 1:1-2 and 9-10 One Large Land Mass Appears
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, let the waters under the heaven be gathered together in one place, and let the dry land appear; and it was so.
And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. (KJV)

YES, God spoke and the waters on earth were gathered together in one place letting the dry land appear - one large land mass or supercontinent surrounded by water. Using the lineage of Jesus Christ, God's Word tells us His Creation Week occurred about 6,000 years ago.

Land Mass Starts Breaking Apart as Result of Worldwide Flood
Genesis 7:11, 24 and 8:13-16
In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened . . . And the waters prevailed upon the earth 150 days.

And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year . . . in the second month, and on the seven and twentieth day of the month was the earth dried. And God spoke to Noah, saying; God forth of the ark . . .

What was the cause of the supercontinent's breaking apart and then becoming smaller continents? YES, it was the worldwide flood that occurred about 4,400 years ago.

Noah, his family and cargo of animals and fowl were in the ark for more than a year. The earth was altered in a major way as a result of the turbulent upheaval when the fountains of the great deep were broken up and the windows of heaven were opened. Major alterations to the face of the earth took place during the 150 days water prevailed upon the earth and the remaining 221 days it took for the waters to recede and find places to collect, and, while sediment settled and the surface of the earth dried off.

In Days of Peleg Earth Divides
Genesis 10:25
And unto Eber were born two sons; the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

One hundred years after the flood, Peleg was born. Peleg lived 239 years. The days of Peleg was the period of time when the building of the Tower of Babel took place. It is where God confused the language and scattered all people throughout the world in small groups as told to us in Genesis 11 1-9. During Peleg's lifetime the earth finished dividing and the continents became isolated landmasses surrounded by oceans and seas. How long ago? About 4,100 years ago.

Poloniom Halos Indicate Earth Took Form Rapidly
Around the world, an exceedingly large number of polonium halos are embedded in Earth's foundation rocks-the granites. Etched within Earth's foundation rocks are beautiful microspheres of coloration, halos, produced by the radioactive decay of primordial polonium. Primordial polonium is known to have only a fleeting existence.

A speck of polonium in molten rock can be compared to an Alka-Seltzer dropped into a glass of water. The beginning of effervescence is equated to the moment that polonium atoms began to emit radioactive particles. In molten rock the traces of those radioactive particles would disappear as quickly as the Alka-Seltzer bubbles in water. But if the water were instantly frozen, the bubbles would be preserved. Likewise, polonium halos could have formed only if the rapidly "effervescing" specks of polonium had been instantly encased in solid rock.

The occurrence of these polonium halos distinctly implies that earth was formed in a very short time, which is in complete harmony with the biblical record of creation. Information from website of Dr. Robert Gentry, www.halos.com

I really love this series. That little verse that talks about the guy being named at the time the earth was divided is now tucked away in my memory.

But I wonder why Ireland was not tucked onto the end of the south of France, or anywhere else that is nice and warm :)

Thnk you for this series.

This is an excellent presentation. Thanks for the time, study, and research. It is really as simple as you present. We either believe mans word and 'theories', or we believe Gods word, who is really the only witness as to how it was done, and the length of time involved. He did not present Moses theories of what He might have done, or any of the others who wrote of creation in scripture. Folks only change words cause they doubt scripture, and believe mens versions. Those men do not accept a world-wide flood, which scripture tells happened. Minor issue to some, but not really, when doubt is cast upon God and His word.

Anyhow, Thanks. God Bless, billy.

Beth - Thanks for your comment. Can't answer your question about Ireland, lol, but Minnesota is known for its cold sometimes long and hard winters!

The Holy Spirit put the desire and love in me to seek and share the truth of God's creation, the truth of His Word. Praise our Lord!

Billy - Thanks for your comment, input and encouragement. My calling includes exposing the work of Satan. So, with joy I work to share God's truth. This is certainly an area where Satan has had his way with much of society. If you don't believe the very foundational message of the Bible, then, you are less likely to believe their is a need for a Savior. In these last days, I truly believe that the simple truth carried in the early chapters of Genesis will be more and more embraced by those who really need to understand and know who God is and what He has done to provide us with salvation, with hope for eternity.

Genesis 1-11 is simply and straight forwardly recorded for the benefit or believers and unbelievers alike. In these last days, I believe, we just need to share the truth and the Holy Spirit will do His work in people's hearts enabling more and more to see their need for Jesus Christ.

Love you both!
Dorothy
