"Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." Romans 12:19 "the heaven and the earth, which are now,...(are) reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." 2 Peter 3: 7
In the previous blog much scripture was presented to show that God WILL provide signs in the sun, moon and stars to announce to all inhabitants of earth that the onset of the Day of the Lord, the period of God's wrath, has come upon the earth. In this blog, I will discuss the fulfillment of God's promise to avenge His saints. According to scripture, I believe the avenging of the saints will be accomplished through the sounding of the seven trumpets, which includes the casting of fire unto the earth.

God Will Avenge the Saints
Let's start in Romans with God's promise to avenge His beloved saints:
Romans 12:19-21 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of FIRE on his head
. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Next, let's look at Revelation 6 and the opening of the firth seal by Jesus:
Revelation 6: 9-11 And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: and they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth
? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled
God Will Avenge With Fire
Now in Revelation 8, we see God avenging the martyrs and all saints in Christ through the sounding of the seven trumpets:
Revelation 8: 1-6 And when He had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. And I saw the seven angels which stood before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censor; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the PRAYERS OF ALL SAINTS
upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the SMOKE
of the incense, which came with the PRAYERS OF THE SAINTS
ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. And the angel took the censor, and filled it with FIRE of the altar, and cast it unto the earth
: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
Let's step back for a moment and look at 2 Peter 3: 6-7
Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: (this is speaking of the worldwide flood in Noah's time).
But, the heaven and the earth, which are now
, by the same word are kept in store, RESERVED UNTO FIRE against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
In Revelation 8 here comes more fire unpon the earth and upon the ungodly just as Peter told us:
Revelation 8: 7-11
The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and FIRE mingled with blood
, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up
And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with FIRE was cast into the sea
: and the third part of the sea became blood
. And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, BURNING as it were a lamp
, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of water. And the name of the star is called Wormwood, and the third part of the waters became wormwood and many men died of the water; because they were made bitter.
The persecution of the saints in Christ will be avenged during the Day of The Lord with the sounding of the seven trumpets and the consequences that come to the ungodly.

My next blog will discuss the end of days events that lead up to the removal of The Church (the Rapture)- beginning birth pains, tribulation and the great tribulation (persecution of saints through anti-christ).
