Neither God's wrath nor God's judgment has come upon Haiti and its people. This is my conviction and belief. God's wrath and God's judgment will come at the end of the Age of The Church.
They are not the same thing as the principle of blessings and curses or the principle of sowing and reaping put into motion that is on-going when Adam and Eve sinned and man entered into rebellion toward God.
The purpose of this writing is to serve as follow-up to the blog I wrote titled: Blood Pact Sown and Watered, Harvests Curses - Remedy for Haiti's Plight. A primary goal of that blog was to look at remedy for Haiti's plight. I will address this further in a subsequent follow-up.
In this blog, discussion of God's wrath and God's judgment.
God's Wrath Now Abated During This "The Age of The Church"
***At the cross the enmity (hostility) between God and man was placed upon Jesus. Through the blood sacrifice of Jesus this enmity was quenched. God's wrath has been turned away from mankind until the end of The Age of The Church.
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For He is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us. Having abolished in His flesh the enmity even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in Himself of twain one new man, so making peace; and that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby. Ephesians 2: 13-16
***We have been reconciled to God through the blood of Jesus.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. Romans 5: 8-11
***Throughout this, the Age of The Church, we have been living under God's grace.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. Titus 2:11
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Romans 6:12-14
***God's wrath and God's vengeance is coming at the end of The Age of The Church as revealed in the Book of Revelation.
--God will avenge the saints (believers) in Christ with the sounding of the seven trumpets:
And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer, and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. Revelation 8: 2-6
--God's wrath poured out through the seven last vials (or bowls) of plagues:
And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the seven last plagues: for in them is filled up the wrath of God. Revelation 15: 1
Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. Revelation 16: 1
God's Judgment Still To Come
***God has committed all judgment to Jesus:
For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom He will. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son. John 5: 21-22
***Day of wrath and revelation of judgment:
But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God. Romans 2:5
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Peter 3:7
(Angel) saying with a loud voice, fear God, and give glory to Him for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. Revelation 14: 7
Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? For thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee: for thy judgments are made manifest. Revelation 15: 4
***God's wrath and God's judgments as referred to in the New Testament are not being executed during this The Age of The Church. Through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God, the Father, has set aside His wrath and judgments until the end of this age. ***
Pertaining To Haiti and Its People
Most certainly some of Haitian's people are believers and followers of Christ, and, as such, are not subject to God's wrath. God's wrath comes to destroy what is evil and believers in Christ do not and will not experience God's wrath. I stand on the belief that it is false to say what has happened and is happening in Haiti is an execution of God's wrath or God's judgment.
However, there is
On-going Interplay Between Good and Evil, Between Blessings and Curses
From my previous blog: Blood Pact Sown and Watered, Harvests Curses - Remedy for Haiti's Plight
When Adam and Eve committed the first sin, rebellion toward God by man had its beginnings. The tasting of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil put into motion interplay between good and evil. Included in this interplay are blessings and curses. I do not believe, as humans born with a nature to sin, we can fully understand nor fully explain how the interplay between good and evil operates.
Since the "world" lives in rebellion toward God, curses are commonplace. Specifically pertaining to this discussion; storms, tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanoes exist because of man's rebellion toward God. They do play a part in the interplay between good and evil.
The Holy Spirit put into my soul this simple understanding of the interplay between blessings and curses: "blessings follow after obedience and curses follow after disobedience."
Another way to say this is obedience toward God will attract blessings and disobedience will attract curses. Cause and effect: cause-disobedience toward God, effect-curses spring forth.
This is similar to the principle put into motion for all mankind concerning sowing and reaping. We must reap from what we have sown. You cannot reap blessings that come with obedience toward God when the seeds you have sown and watered are disobedience toward God. What you must reap are curses. God will not be mocked.
***The interplay between good and evil, blessings and curses, sowing and reaping will continue until the end of The Age of The Church until the day (time period) of God's wrath and judgments comes upon the earth.***
